Well the Qunneville thing is startling...but I guess you just ride it out and see what he's capable of.

He isn't Braydon Point, but I think we should be happy with how Chatham has been developing this year

Tuesday 1/20
KHL
Dinamo Minsk defeated HC Slovan Bratislava 6-4
Artur Gavrus LW: E, 2 PIM (Tripping), 1 Shot, 1/1 Faceoff, 7:51 TOI, 1 Block
Season: 34 GP 5-4-9, -4, 12 PIM, 10.6 SH%, 1.4 SH/GP, 38.8 FO%, 12:12 ATOI

-- First KHL game since 12/14 after having some sort of injury. He had a short 2 game conditioning stint with Dinamo-Molodechno of the Belarusian Extraliga where he had 4 assists and a -2 rating with 2 shots over 2 games.

Fiesty whats your opinion on Chatham, I have not really followed him at all.

I still haven't seen him play but based off of his numbers, I agree with SMantzas that we should be happy with what he's been doing this year. He's been playing with Sonny Milano lately who is a real quality prospect which will definitely allow him to explore his offensive game more. Scouting reports last year really ripped into his lack of offensive skills. Best case scenario for him is probably developing into a solid bottom 6 role player, though maybe he never becomes anything more than an AHL player. I came into the season a bit down on him but he's convinced me that I was being too harsh on him. It will be interesting to see how he finishes the year.

Barry Tallackson 2.0?

Wednesday 1/21
WHL
Kamloops defeated Tri-City 3-1
Ryan Rehill D: -1
Season: 44 GP 5-9-14, -12, 98 PIM

NCAA
Boston College defeated Merrimack 2-1
Steve Santini D: +1, 2 PIM (Hooking), 2 Shots
Season: 8 GP 1-1-2, +3, 10 PIM, 13 Shots

USHS

Miles Wood LW: 8 GP 6-10-16

Barry Tallackson 2.0?

Both guys have size but I feel like Tallackson was always one of those guys that played more of a finesse game than physical, while Chatham is the opposite based on scouting reports I've read. Seems like Chatham would be able to thrive in a checking role while Tallackson was going to have to play in a more offensive role to be effective.

Going off the WHL from Above line charts, he seems to have rotated between the 2nd and 3rd lines. He is on a good team though and does get plenty of PP and PK time. CHL Stats has his estimated ice time as the 7th highest forward on the team.

Even though Santini isn't one to put up many points, he seems to get a decent amount of shots on net. I don't know much about college hockey or what is considered good or not, but putting up over 1.5 shots per game doesn't seem too bad for a stay at home, defense first defenseman.
