Is there a way to not view someone's avatar without having to opt not to view any?

The wind blew ferociously making the icy sky feel even colder. And then a few white snow flakes floated down from heaven creating a winter wonderland.

Figures I finally get comments on my piece and it's about the Rangers.

I'll pass on that. I have never minded commentary. So, i guess I will just keep my avatar settings off. It's not that bad.
