Hey guys, I think on FSN I heard Stan Fischler and Loughlin talking about Stevens possibly coming off retirement for a short time to help the Devils through the Playoffs. Now Stevens hasn't said anything about it but do you think it's possible. He's helped us to that shiny Cup 3 times now, can the team's best ever captain and defenseman come back and get us there again? He said he's enjoying home life but I sure hope he'll come back, just for the playoffs.

Oh geez. Someone delete this before PK sees it!
Look, it isn't going to happen. Stevens is done. His number hangs from the rafters. We just brought in two decent to better than decent DMen. The only way Stevens can help the Devils now would be as a coach.

Alright, chill out here... I heard it on FSN and I would expect they know something about the Devils on account of: it's there job lol.

Oh yeah- and please change what's under the title. It makes it look like this is actally a fact, when it's nothing more than one of Fischler's delusions of old age.

I wouldn't mind seeing Scotty as a coach (though that won't happen until next season at the very earliest), but there's no way he'll play again. That bridge was crossed a long time ago.

It was a suggestion, not a demand. You guys need to calm down no one is telling you how to do your job, they're merely stating their opinion.You're pretty fond of telling admins they should delete threads, aren't you?
Back on topic, are you sure Fischler wasn't doing this out of jest. There is no I repeat ZERO chance of Stevens coming back. Not only is his number officially retired (I'm amazed that didn't finally end this) but why would he come back when we have 8 NHL defensem. If Raffy, Martin, and White suddenly got injured then maybe I could see where you are basing it but right now it would seem preposterous even if February 3rd had never happened.
