There are no ifs or buts about tonights game WE HAVE TO WIN, end of conversation, letting the Rangers win tonight will give them the slightess glimmer of hope and we don't want that to happen.
GO DEVILS

It is true that winning in the playoffs is first about scoring more than your opponent, but the quickest way to do that is to make them feel like no matter what they do, they cannot beat you (see series vs. Leafs 2001).

That doubt has already been planted, yet they are still holding onto these ideas:

1) We lost 2 games on the Road, not any at Home.
2) We lost because we took too many penalties.
3) We lost because our Goaltender wasn't 100%
4) We lost because we had the Man-Advantage too much.
5) We lost because our Superstar is hurt.
etc.

A solid game is the most important tonight, the results will follow after that is accomplished.

hey guys, i'm new to this forum, but definately not a new devils fan. call me crazy but there is no doubt in my mind that the devils will win tonight. even if we dont, we're going to take at least one of the garden games and this series will be wrapped up by sunday if not sooner. i dont want to hear all this crap about the devils being outplayed and blah blah blah. they have the balance necessary to win. that balance goes by the name of martin brodeur, plain and simple, the devils are just too hot right now

LET'S GO DEVILS!!!

If they are going to lose without sweeping this series, I hope it's tonight, and then we win the next two games!! Would rather come back to CAA on a win rather than a lose!

:boogie: Let's Go Devils! :boogie:

 Score early. It'll take the fans right out of the game. And take away the early advantage of home ice.
 Take control of the defensive zone. Spend more time in the Rags offensive end tonight.
 Take advantage of your PP chances and have a kick ass PK tonight.
 Keep the front of the net clear for Marty. If he can see it, he can stop it.
 Once you get a lead, don't sit on it. (Thought that happened a bit in game 2.)
 Devils fans, be proud and be LOUD!

My nephew is going the the game and wearing Devils colors!! He won't be quieted!! :burn: :dizzy: :fight:

Devils win tonight because as a counter to Jagr playing the Devils suit up Ditka to play defense in place of White.

Your unconditional rejection of violence makes you smugly think of yourselves as noble, as enlightened, but in reality it is nothing less than abject moral capitulation to evil. Unconditional rejection of self-defense, because you think its a supposed surrender to violence, leaves you no resort but begging for mercy or offering appeasement.

The first ten minutes are going to be vital tonight. If the Devils can get through that and score the first goal again they have a great chance to win this game. As long as they stay disciplined and play their game the Devs will be all right.

Lets put another nail in the coffin tonight. I don't want the Rangers to have any sense of hope this series.

I think we're in for a dog fight with the Rags tonight. A real emotional game. A scary game, but i still think we come out with the win 4-3. I think Langer, Gomer, and Marshall will have a strong game.

GO DEVILS!!!

Go Devils! They will win!

So if I am right, White is out, Jagr is in, correct? Also is Lundqvist, Rucinsky, and Kasperititas playing as well?

The Devils will need to come out strong, hit hard and gain an early lead, establish the defensive game plan. Get the crowd out of the game and frustrate the Rangers. The start of this game will be key to how the rest of the game plays out.

I guess this is what they call in sports a big game. Win tonight and its pretty much over, loss and its a series again. Big game. Gotta withstand the Rangers coming out strong in those first 10 minutes with the crowd going crazy. GO DEVIL!!!!!!!!!!

Found this being reported on a baseball forum, can anyone verify if this is correct?

"Lundqvist is in, Kaspar is out, Jagr is a game time decision."

 Gomer gets a goal to get us jump started in the first ten minutes---we then play Devils Hockey and lock down the Rangers for the following 50 minutes, then an empty net goal by Madden!!!! Devils Win 2-0!
