It's time for the French Open again. I always cheer for Golovin to win this but unfortunately she is out with an injury. I'll cheer for my other two favorites, Sharapova and Hantuchova.

I haven't really looked at the draws much but a Federer-Nadal final would be nice. Rog snapped Rafa's big clay court streak last week. Still, it's awfully difficult to see the Spaniard losing in 3 out of 5 at this slam.

Henin is usually the best on this surface on the women's side. And Kuznetsova usually does fairly well. Maybe Vaidisova has a repeat performance or rises up and wins.

I hope Federer wins the French, and then win Wimbeldon...would love to see Roger take a run at the Slam...would be great for Tennis if Roger gets to the U.S.Open with a shot at the Slam.

Will Mr. Temper Roddick even make it to Week 2? Maybe if there are morerain delays he will :doh1:

I caught some of the NBC coverage before and got to see some of Nadal's straight set win over Montanes. He's just ridiculous. I mean the other guy didn't even play that badly. For example, he lost the first set 6-1 but one game had like 13 or 14 Deuces and lasted about 15-20 minutes before Rafa broke him to go up 5-1. It was just unbelievable clay court tennis too. The other guy tried so hard. But Nadal's grinding attack won out.

Rafa-Hewitt might be interesting if Lleyton can run balls down. I think they played last year too same round and it was close.

Looks like some good Round of 16 matches.

Well, it's all over at Paris. Henin of course easily won her third straight by routing both Jankovic and Ivanovic for her fourth French Open and sixth career slam. Congrats to her.

On the men's side, Rafael Nadal did it again pulling a three-peat of his own by once again getting the best of Roger Federer to deny history as he was aiming for that elusive career Grand Slam.

Rafa was just too tough, especially on the big points. When's the last time Federer blew 10 break chances in a set? I don't think it's ever happened. Nadal saved 16 of 17 for the match. When's the last time you saw Roger fire so many loose forehands en route to more than double the errors that his opponent made? Again, a rarity.

Nadal is the king of clay. There's a reason he's now a perfect 34-0 in best of five matches on the surface. The guy has so much will and forces opponents into difficult shots due to all the pace.

Anyway, he celebrated a little oddly. A weird tradition he has. Anyone want to caption this?

Great match to watch, but Federer looked badly outmatched throughout.

He'll seek his revenge at Wimbledon.

I was kind of disappointed Iggy in Federer. Maybe that's why he didn't do the interview with NBC. Because he played so well in that 2nd set and then just vanished. He was actually playing the way he needed to. Credit Nadal's incredible fitness I guess.

I mean there were still some great rallies and some vintage winners from Roger but the consistency wasn't there. And Nadal just got stronger as it went on. His serve is very underrated.

I could see Roger having a hangover at Wimbledon. This loss hurt. We'll find out how mentally tough he is.
