Cmon now...NASCAR...I mean listen, these guys are talented but cmon....

Subtract Happy Hour....

Subtract Beer and Alochol, in general....

Subtract Chewing Tobacco...

And this 'sport' is just another day on the California Freeways....

And NOW E$PN acts as if they are the 'authority' of NASCAR...

I saw Brad Daughtery doing a show on NASCAR??? Who's next, John Rocker??/ :rofl:

What a complete joke society is, they will fall for ANYTHING...GIMMICKS...

Wake up NHL, this is NOT that hard!

We can't match the car wrecks and pretty explosions that NASCAR has

though I am sure we could cram a hundred thousand rednecks into carolina if we offered them free chew to get there

the NHL will be LOST until the idiots in charge GET IT

Pay homage to the INCREDIBLE scoring goalie!!!! :-)

I saw CRASHER trip a kid on skates and then he stole the kids lunch money and slapped his mom when she came to pick him up.. All because the kid looked at his crease

I enjoy watching NASCAR. It has all the drama and competitiveness that the main sports have. I definitely understand that it is not for everyone, although it seems that the fan base is growing and growing a ton.

It's fast, colorful, dangerous, and loud. I personally don't like it, but I can see why others do.

I was a huge fan when I was 5 because I just loved watching the different cars going around in circles and thought it was cool when they hit each other. I guess many Americans still think like 5-year olds.

It's a easy sport(as it's called) to watch when you are hammered.

Or maybe some Americans appreciate the skill of the drivers and expertise of the members of the pit crew.

Nothing wrong with Nascar and a big fan of Nascar here. Go to two to three races a year where they have the most fans in the stands than any other sporting event. It is a huge money maker and fun to watch IMO.

I think Carolina must be all 5year olds..Since their favourite sport is Nascar/University sports..And we all know how Cryolina dive and are babies. :evil:

Being born in North Carolina, having friends that live in NC, and frequently visiting NC, i was hurt by that statement. The truth of the matter is, NASCAR is a pretty cool sport, and takes alot of skill and patience, and is a great experience to witness live. Also, i don't think theres anything wrong with college sports. I'm an avid Duke basketball and lacrosse fan, but I'm first and foremost a Devils fan. just because i was born in "Cryolina" doesn't mean i am a 5 year old whiney baby.

All I'm asking for is a little respect...?

My friend from Tennessee hates NASCAR. She says it stands for Non Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks. :rofl:

Nascar has been popular for a few decades now. Espn is just starting to talk about it more now because they got a deal to show the Busch Series races, so of course they are going to talk about it more so they can get the ratings up for those races.

Hum...That was a joke about '5years old' Sorry for that...As for Cryolina, thats for the Hurricanes , because the way they whine and Dives and Osbtruct the other goalie they are facing.

People like Nascar for the same reason they like Die Hard.

The wind blew ferociously making the icy sky feel even colder. And then a few white snow flakes floated down from heaven creating a winter wonderland.

Bottom line is unless the league promotes the violence (the fights and the big hits, etc).... most casual fans will NOT pay attention to it.... look what the sports fan watches:

NFL
WWE (again I say the NHL has wet dreams of having Vince's ratings

)
NBA (ok.. well there the violence is OFF the court)

and so on.... I'm still amazed as many people watch baseball as they do :noclue:

Exactly. It seems as though they are trying hard to eliminate the image of hockey being barbaric and violent, when it would probably be better for them to embrace it. I mean all these fighting leagues are skyrocketing in popularity, and all they are is a bunch of tough guys beating the piss out of each other. People love that stuff, why can't the NHL see that?
