I thought Allison retired.
I remember him holding out waiting for the "right offer" a couple of years ago. And then he kinda disappeared. Maybe Souray should take a page out of his book.
Sportsnet reported he retired, he now is saying he didn't. I just think no team will take a shot on him given his concussion history, or he's asking for too much.

Scott Stevens was wondering if Lindros is still eating out of a straw.

I'm sure some team will sign him. You can get him for 2 million, I'd say, and some team will benefit from his services.
The knock is that he is slow and might just be a PP specialist. Still, the points are there. If we didn't have Zubrus/Zajac, I'd say yes, however, we don't have room for another center, unless he's a 4th line center, which Allison is not.
Additionally, we'll probably try to develop Pelley at center on the 4th line to replace Madden in a few season (2 more yrs left on Madden's deal - he will be 37 when it expires).
