JL GP was a beast - big guy who can shoot and skate and hit. If he ever put it all together he could've been a quality player.
unfortunately he can't play defense, so he'll spend a year in wonderful Lowell, Massachusetts.

Good depth signing I suppose. Unless he has a rediculous camp, he won't be up with the big club. If he wasn't already 30, I would have more confidence in him.

I think I'd be wary of the mobility of a D-man who's name means "big rock".

He is more less a Shawn Belle type defensmen. Built like a truck, can skate and has all the tools but no tool box.
A true leader is one who knows when to step aside for others to lead.

Every year that is thought, the Lowell team won't be good until they have a decent coach there. If McLean wants to prove he is a great coach have him down in Lowell for 2 years and show he can turn that into a contender. Robinson and Lapierre can handle out bench as assistants.

Lowell won't be good until they get some decent players. They won't do this until New Jersey gets some decent prospects - probably won't happen until they can lure Vasuynov and Zharkov across the ocean (which may never happen).
