Girlfriend's family is visiting others in Minneapolis - were about 15 minutes away from the bridge when it happened.

Just awful.

Just devastating.

I was reading an article before that they inspected the bridge two years ago and found some problems. Why didn't they do something about it? Man. This kind of disaster could've and should've been prevented.

My heart goes out to all those affected.

The wind blew ferociously making the icy sky feel even colder. And then a few white snow flakes floated down from heaven creating a winter wonderland.
