If you take the first three letters from those two places, it spells NASCAR.You know, with the Rangers taking on major markets like LA, Colorado, Minnesota etc. you know what their big inter-conference matchup is?

Montreal has 5 games. Did the US annex Quebec or something?
Well, here we have RDS who broadcast all the 82games by the Canadiens..Plus some of the Senators.

You know, I would not be entirely surprised if that factored into their decision.

BRODEUR'S PIT STOP: New Jersey Devils goalie Martin Brodeur changed his focus from stopping pucks to stopping cars for Saturday's race, specifically Greg Biffle's Ford.
Brodeur, a perennial NHL All-Star, was invited to join Biffle's pit crew. The Montreal native and three-time Stanley Cup winner was looking forward to serving as the crew's sign man as he met with Biffle prior to the race.
"I don't have that much responsibility to be really nervous but you're part of a team," said Brodeur, who attended the drivers' meeting. "Nerves have never been a big factor for me. It's just a great experience and it should be fun."
Actress Kathryn Morris from the CBS drama "Cold Case" was also on hand for the drivers' meeting. Morris' upcoming movie "Resurrecting The Champ" was advertised on the hood of Stanton Barrett's Chevrolet.
"I saw it on the hood of the car and I couldn't believe it," Morris said. "It was like when you're watching on TV and you see the big McDonald's symbol -- there it was."
Morris is dating Stanton Barrett's brother, David, the supervising producer on "Cold Case."
"Let me just say when you become part of a NASCAR family going to the grocery store or driving a country road is a completely different experience," Morris said.
