Hey, to each his own. I hated going to the bars to watch the 'Phins. I manned up and got DirecTV 3 years ago, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. No longer do I have to go into bars infested by Jets and Giants fans while having to watch the Dolphins on a tiny screen in the corner on mute while the audio system blares the PBP of the Jet or Giant game.

Here in Boston there are more Eagles and Steelers fans than Pats fans at teh bar I go to. HOw did so many of us PA people end up in BOston.

True..I remember watching the Steelers vs Panthers..The Stadium was full of Steelers fans..

I loved Herm. He couldn't manage the clock. He didn't know how to use his time-outs. He was a horrible game-day coach. I long for the days when Herm coached the Jets. Mangini appears to know what he's doing. This does not make me happy.

Glad to see you are keeping track here with the batting average. I will not go there with the Cowboys since they had enough of bad luck last season with that botched snap in which they should have beaten Seattle. Cowboys will be good this season and will contend with the Eagles for the division from what I have been reading in the papers and magazines. No predictions here.

Actually I loved Philly when I lived there. Not the crazy sports fans though but I went to art school adn there weren't many there.

then again anytime I've gone there it's for sports purposes... and their fans need to have an atomic bomb dropped on them !!!

And maybe because I've never lived there I LIKED Pittsburgh!

49niners has a GOOD future in front of them..But their O-line is still weak(Kwame Harris is really bad..)Their defensive doesn't impress me, Even if they signed CB Nate Clements to a huge contract(10millions per year.......)/Drafted Patrick Willis...Signed Michael Lewis(He had a down season in PHILLY) Their d-line is still weak, (LineBacker corps=Good one.)


If there's going to be some contenders from the NFC(That conference is weak for contenders vs AFC.)

Eagles,
Bears(Their defense is definately a TOP 2 one.The only thing they need to fix..QB Position.Wouldn't surprise me to see Either ORTON/Griese to take that number one QB Spot.

NEAR NFC Contenders.


Saints, they have a great offense, But their defense still lacks, and last year they surprised every one, Nobody thought the Saints would go that far, This year, they won't be a surprise...Saints/Panthers will forsure compete for their divison.
Cowboys(Depends on the Defense and...ROMO.)
Seahawks(Depends if their Key-players doesn't get injured..Walter Young,Alexander and Hasselbeck.

AFC Contenders.

Ravens(Nasty defense, and they just addedd McGahee as their RB, and if McNair still keep up his good work..Why not?)
Colts(With that offense, they always have a shot to go through the Superbowl..(I don't think so they'll go, since their defense lost major players, ANYWAY' there's contenders.)
Chargers(Even if they lost both GOFFREY/Edwards, they're still contenders, with LT/Gates/McCardell, Rivers will have all his weapons to get some points, .)
Patriots(Nasty Defense, they added GOOD Wr's when their weakness was that last year..(Caldwell dropped 3-4passes vs the COLTS during the AFC championship.)

Near the AFC Contenders..

Jacksonville,Their defense is still a good one,(Last year, lot of injuries on key players on the Defense..)And yet, their attack is still unproven(Leftwhich and their WR'S.)
Pittsburgh, Their defense is good, But, the question mark is..THEIR O-line(Who accored 46sacks last year..) ANd BIG BEN.

Well, Panthers has problems with their O-line and their "Injuries" ,Rule those problems and they become a real NFC contender(Also they lack that number 2-3WR.)

Chiefs..They lost 2major O-liner in 2off-seasons(Roalf/Roaf? and Shields.)Wonder how LJ Will play this season(I hope he better play well..since I have him and LT in my fantasy league )

Oh well, I'm going to watch out the PA Pre-season game..(Philly vs Pitts)
