Like the fine print...hottest team in baseball now..only 1 1/2 back....looking like 10th AL East champs in a row to me. GO YANKS!

Ugh, it makes me so ill!

But I gotta give them props. They have the air of a champion.

Not to get off-topic since this is the Yankee thread but that ugh sentiment above is exactly how I feel whenever the f-in Patriots win a game--the cheaters

How many games are we out? Like one or something or did the radio lie to me?

Now you trust me, I carry that so tight
I'll be there for you, if your wrong or your right
It doesn't matter, just reach out to me
I will never question, any opportunity to show you
And prove to you that I care, always you share and you've always been there
Your my best friend, it's easy to see
No matter how bad things in life can be..
...You've always got me...

This is another instance where peripheral statistics were telling a better story than W-L record. The Yankees about halfway through the season had a fantastic run differential and the fact that their record didn't match that strongly suggested they were getting a lot more bad luck than good and now that is evening out so that the record more closely reflects their run differenetial.

Your unconditional rejection of violence makes you smugly think of yourselves as noble, as enlightened, but in reality it is nothing less than abject moral capitulation to evil. Unconditional rejection of self-defense, because you think its a supposed surrender to violence, leaves you no resort but begging for mercy or offering appeasement.

I thought it was just cause they weren't coming up big. But yeah. They fixed that problem.

As a Yankee hater, it disappoints me to say that, most likely, no one is beating this team in the playoffs. They've got that special something now, a mix of youth and veteran players, and they've been on a serious roll for a long time now. They have importantly shored up their bullpen and rotation. Not even the Yankee killers, the Anaheim Angels, will stop this train.

So Jerry,I gotta ask you,was this a jinx thread that you concocted out of pure genius or did you really think the skanks were going on a "serious roll"?

I don't believe in jinxes (I wish I had that kind of power!). I really believed the Yankees would beat Cleveland, but ended up being pleasantly surprised.

It would have been nice to see the bosox against the yankmees. I love the tension and drama between the two teams when everything is on the line.

Yankees-Red Sox is usually lots of fun. I wouldn't have been too upset to see that.

But a first-round exit for the Yankees is a joyous occasion, too!

I am so sick of the hype of Yankees Red Sox so I am glad they aren't playing each other. Even though I should rather that since Cleveland is the much better team.

You can't put the Philly teams into the chokers category as they belong to the Losers (with a capital L) category.
