I never would have thought that these two teams would be competing for the NL title and a chance at the World Series. My pick is the Diamondbacks to win this. The Rockies have been so hot for so long, they are bound to run out of luck. Baseball is a streaky sport and I just don't see there streak going too much further. Nonetheless it is an interesting matchup and should be fun to watch.
I have family near Denver so I became a defacto Rockies sympathizer when they came into the league.
I also have family near Phoenix so I also became a defacto Diamondbacks sympathizer when THEY came into the league.
So yeah, I'm cool with this series. I think it'll be a fun one to watch. Everyone seems to be picking D-Backs but I think I'm going to stay with the Rockies. I think they have one more series in them in this streak, before they fall in the World Series.

Bye bye Philly. What a waste of time with that team. Mets would have done a better showing that the Phillies. Pathetic.

Mahatma Gandhi once said, If not for the British, I may have become a Christian
Now, nearly one hundred years later (or since the last time the Chicago Cubs won the World Series) I say, if not for front-running Colorado sports fans, I may have become a Rockies backer (actually, I would never forsake those St Louis Cardinals)!!
I've shared in season tickets for 6 years and Saturday's game was the craziest I've ever seen it at Coors Field. But this is the way it is with winning teams. Name a sports franchise that does not gain more fans when they are playing well.
P.S. Look for me at the game on Sunday. I'll be the guy in the Rockies hat.

Well sure, everyone loves a winner ... however, listed below and off the top of my head are just a few organizations that in recent history have bucked the trendish winning streak/title contention-induced (venue) attendance spikes seemingly endemic to your Rockies and to a lesser degree, the Nuggets, the CU Bluffs (football) and to an even lesser degree, the Dives (tho you gotta love those discounted, fourteen game packages the Aves are offering!) -- I left out the Broncos, unless of course you want to factor in last Sunday's second-half Invesco Field mass exodus, which I enjoyed nearly as much as the final score!Name a sports franchise that does not gain more fans when they are playing well
Let see, over the past ten years:
The Cleveland Browns & Indians (no championships)
The Boston Red Sox (one)
The Chicago Cubs (umm, never mind!)
The St Louis Cardinals (one)
The Dallas Stars & Cowboys (one each)
The Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers (again, never mind!)
The St Louis Blues (none)
The MN Wild (not yet)
The NY Rangers (none, thank God!)
The Montreal Canadiens (none)
The Toronto Maple Leafs (lol!)
The Green Bay Packers (one)
The Buffalo Bills (none)
PS: 'Satans Hockey' ... given a chance, this stuff might sway your feelings about all things Colorado

Well, whatever your point may be, I can tell you that everybody here is now crazy for the Rockies. The vast majority may be bandwagoniers but that is fine with me. It's good to see everybody excited about the Rockies!

Rockies in 6 games. They are the hottest team coming into the playoffs and the way they just shut down Philly they are the team to beat this playoffs in the NL.
Damn it. Now they've got no chance.

Definitely. That was an excellent game. It was good to see the Arizona crowd into it as well. An unfortunate way to end it for Valverde, I was hoping for something perhaps a little more dramatic, but a good win for the Rockies.Great game last night if anyone stayed up and watched.
I think Livan finally gets to them on Sunday though. Can the Rockies continue to win in every possible fashion?
