Need I really say anything?
Just enjoy the damn games!

Sunday October 14:
St. Louis at Baltimore
What to look for:
Umm… yech? The bathroom… order lunch? This will NOT be pretty either, the Ravens got nothing on offense (I feel like I say the same stuff about them each week but it’s so true, damn true)… the Rams are a mess and I’d say this is a winnable game for them… but it’s not happening here….Ravens defense owners should be happy about this one at least!

Minnesota at Chicago:
What to look for:
Defense… lots of it? Ugly QB play all around… Tavares Jackson or not neither one of the teams will remind you of the 1980’s 49ers… but both have decent if not good defenses… just seems that Minnesota is better at every position, and should be able to put another past the Bears who may exhale a bit too much after beating the Packers in miracle fashion…..

Miami at Cleveland:
What to look for:
Cleo Lemon and Derek Anderson?? Holy hell… this might as ugly as entertainingly possible! If this was a week one game I’d have said Miami would win this one…but when you are kicked down and as beaten at the 0-5 quasi-fish are… I can see it being very very hard to get up to play a good game at this point… you’d think Miami’s gonna win a game somewhere (though it would be funny to see “team perfect” 35 years later become team 0-fer)… it’s not gonna be this week… dammit… the browns gotta be feeling too good about themselves and too good on offense to let it happen.

Washington at Green Bay:
What to look for:
The Redskins seem to get better each and every week, but the Packers are gonna be a bit annoyed after handing that game to the Bears on a silver plate… momentum is on the Skins’ side… and to an extent so is the talent pool, awfully hard to see a decent Packer team lose two in a row at home though….if you have to pick a 1pm game to watch this might be the one!

Houston at Jacksonville:
What to look for:
Any time AFC South teams lock up it’s a good game, this one should be no exception! Both teams do well what the other one doesn’t… and this could be one of those key tiebreaker games to see which of these two end up with a wild card spot this year, also will be key to see how Matt Schaub handles the Jag defense as well… this may be the #2 game to watch at 1 Sunday.. no wonder I get there so damn early!!!

Cincinnati at Kansas City:
What to look for:
The immovable offense against the untackling defense…. Fascinating!! Gotta think the Bengals are DESPERATE to win a game somewhere and the Chiefs home-field mystique is GONE now… another thing shattered by THE HERM! No clue if Huard is healthy enough to start, but I don’t think it matters.. can’t see the anemic Chiefs (hey Ranger fans.. look at it this way… Larry Johnson has been less productive then Scott Gomez!) doing enough to hang with the Bengals who need this bad

Philadelphia at NY Jets:
What to look for:
Well the Jets have never beaten the Eagles…normally I would say this is reason to pick them… but unless Chad is taken out by the half I can’t see it with their offense in shambles now.. can’t run… can’t pass over 15 yards… the coach has already flushed the luster right back down the toilet and if the Eagles don’t win this week they are finished in the NFC… the Jets might already be finished anyway

Tennessee at Tampa Bay:
What to look for:
Vince Young played as bad as you can possibly play, and yet they still won… Tampa Bay… well they’re playing ok, but they are losing players left right and sideways here and I don’t think they have the depth to hold off these kind of injuries, while you’d have to think the Titans will be less sloppy here, and I do feel for the Bucs, they looked like they had it going right this year…

4pm:
Carolina at Arizona:
What to look for:
A THOUSAND YEARS OF QUARTERBACKING HERE… between Vinny the Balls of Green (amazing how you can still be color blind and still get QB jobs like Vinny… but hey that’s the NFL right)… and Captain Jesus Lover himself in Kurt Warner! Telling game for which of these two teams will put a chokehold on their own divisions here… Carolina has just been such a disappointment this year and I’m really high on the Cardinals… look for the home team to pull this one out!

New England at Dallas:
What to look for:
The CLASH OF THE TITANS, the match of the season… America’s Team defending against the pretenders!!! People have accused me of over-hyping Tony Romo and calling him the second coming… untrue.. he’s the THIRD coming in Dallas ;)… Look for lots of points and offense all over the place… which means knowing the NFL… a 10-7 BATTLE…either way, this one’s gonna be a real heavyweight FIGHT!

Oakland at San Diego:
What to look for:
The Battle for first place in the AFC West.. REALLY!! The Raiders are playing good steady football this year so far… but this is the big test for both teams… can the Chargers use their talent and just pound the snot out of the upstart Raiders? Bold prediction here… if the Raiders win this game they WILL win the AFC West… I’d say it’s a shame that no one gets to see this game… but the reason they won’t far makes up for it!!

830pm:
New Orleans at Seattle:
What to look for:
Can Drew Brees pretend to be an NFL QB? Can the Saints EVER win… will Mike Vander-choke get another kicking job? Will this game be the worst Sunday Night game of the year? (probably)… I dunno… this is why there’s a TNA Bound For Glory party at my house Sunday Night… no need to see this one on the big screen!

Monday October 15:
NY Giants at Atlanta:
What to look for:
Umm.. Monday Night Raw maybe? This one’s not gonna be a pleasant watch… the Falcons play hard but they got NOTHING… and the Giants seem to have fixed the ship.. but it used to be anything can happen on Monday Night Raw… now it seems anything can happen on Monday Night FOOTBALL… we’ll see… I ain’t holding my breath though

You also forgot to mention pointless....I'm excited as anyone about this game but lets be realistic, it's a non-conference game that will really mean little to the person that loses...sure it'll mean a lot if the Cowboys win, but only to the fans....even the media will find away to spin it as the Pats looking ahead to week 9 at the Colts....as far as I'm concerned the big games for the Cowboys are against the 'skins and the Pack those will mean something....the 'Boys could very easily be 6-1 headed into the bye getting ready for 3 division games, 2 of which will be away....although I would love love love to see the Cowboys pull out a win...I'm sure the ESPN power Rankings will still look like this:
1> Colts
2> Patriots
3> Cowboys....

See I think this game does have a point though...
neither team has played a team as good as the other... neither team has had to deal with this kind of matchup...for both teams this game is sort of like playing a mirror in a lot of ways in what they do and how

and in a way this is the one game the NFC can say... hey look... we CAN play with the AFC too...it's not a be all and end all in the standings... but big game? oh hell yes it is!

Perfect time for me. I have a flag football game at 3 and will end at 4 and the bar is right across the street. Man I hope the Pats kill the cowboys not because of Crasher or anything the most annoying person I know is a Cowboy fans and also a BC alum. Can BC & the Cowboys both lose this weekend? That would shut this dude up.

Nah, Like I said, I'm excited as can be and can't wait for game time but it's all hype...in the end if the Cowboys win, as I said before it'll be some strange freak occurence...no one will still consider them elite...other than Cowboys fans...it'll be the Pats beat themselves or they had an off day..the only showdown that matters in an AFC vs NFC match-up is played in Feb....however...I really really want the 'Boys to win

:P

Cowboys 24, Pats 31 is my inclination... thats what i just drempt; with Tony Romo having a stellar game but the pats coming up big in their defensive redzone when they needed. T-O has 2 TD's but drops a diffucult pass over the middle with the Cowboys driving and 30 seconds to go to seal the game.

Oh come on.. they're still gonna lose to the bye... I know... old gag, but still holds true

Game Report:

Bye Week 17, Buffalo 16: On a cool, blustry day in Western New York, the Ills undermanned defense played inspired football, as the Ills took a 16-14 lead on a safety after sacking the Bye Week's star Quarterback, Babe Laufenberg. As the Ills get the ball back with just under 1:00 remaining and the bye week using their timeouts to take bathroom breaks, Buffalo Ills head coach Dick Jauron, criticized for his lack of aggressivness, decides to go for the jugular. With the Ills having the ball at the Bye Week's 15 yard line, Ills QB J.P. Losman goes back to pass, and he just drops the football for no apparent reason whatsoever!! Bye week's LB Brian Bosworth scoops up the ball, and runs it down to the Ill's 27 yard line with 33 seconds to go. Laufenberg hands the ball off to the Bye Week's RB Jarrod Bunch and gains 0 yards to center the ball for the GW FG attempt. And the bye week pulls off the miracle win as bye week's placekicker Scott Norwood haunts his old team and stuns the Ills and the 72,000 cursed fans in attendence with a GW 47 yard FG attempt. Said a jubliant Norwood after the game: "There is my payback to the city of Buffalo from Super Bowl 25, you wanted me to make the 47 yarder, well, I just did. BOOYAH!!"
