Nice to see Navy's Kyle Eckle putting the icing on the cake with the final Pats TD.
Go Navy! Soon to have 5th CIC Trophy in a row!

The Patriots probably score 60 on Dallas' defense if Brady wasn't as wild as he was overthrowing nearly everybody in the 2nd.

The Cowboys officially have no pass defense.
I can't wait for all of the pretender fans and underachieving teams fans to come on and laugh at the cowboys (mainly the G-Women fans)

Why is that necessary? Typical.

I thought Dallas played well. But the lack of stops on third and long and penalties proved costly. You can't expect to win games that way. Especially against one of the league's best. Also, the start was horrible.

New England didn't even play great and they still won by basically two scores. I wonder how they can continue to get away with essentially no run game and pass so much. They do have great weapons though. Welker absolutely killed the Boys. It was like they didn't even bother covering him. And Stallworth had a pretty good first half. Moss didn't even have to be great and still almost had three TDs.

It must be fun to be Brady. Heck. He also has Watson at TE and he missed a few series in the 2nd half.

They didn't have Muroney and their ground attack suffered. Kevin Faulk is probably the most overlooked player on their offense. Always comes up with a few key plays when his team needs it.

Romo played well. Outside of a shaky start and the Int late when the game was basically done anyway, he was pretty composed. They did a good job protecting him and he made some nice adjustments in the second half getting the ball to Witten and even his other end who's name escapes me. That guy also took a dumb penalty. They had a lot of them.

Owens was good too. I kind of like Crayton. He's the guy nobody really pays attention to and what a surprise he'd catch the one score which gave his team their only lead.

That 2-yard run by Barber might have been the best two yards any back's ever gotten. Also the longest. Great effort to avoid a sure safety. Julius Jones also had some nice runs. Dallas should've run more. NE can be attacked there. The penalties hurt.

Also, why did Wade Phillips opt for the FG instead of going for fourth and goal from the five? 38-27 at that point is meaningless. Especially against that offense.

Think he was peeved when Belichick essentially said, "F you" with that last second score for their rookie back? Man. That was evil. LOL

Dallas' schedule does get much tougher after next week with three straight division match-ups. That's where the NFC East could be decided.

Absolutely classless Billacheats decide against kneeling it, JUST for that, Bill Billacheat deserves to get shat on. What a dick.

It was bush but that was for Wade opening his trap. You had to know Belichick wouldn't let that slide.

Those Titan uniforms were okay for a game, not my favorite jerseys but certainly better than the Eagles' own throwbacks a few weeks ago

It's just depressing to watch Chad now, and really the whole team. I don't know what happened to him, whether he's hurt or pressing but he just can't be counted on to play mistake-free anymore. He's had some Rex Grossman-like INT's the last three weeks.

I guess you can look at the boxscore and see 16 points allowed and think the defense did okay but they really didn't. They gave the Eagles a free TD (though the refs had a hand in that too not calling a delay of game) early and honestly Akers stopped them more than the Jets' D :P

And what the hell happened to our brilliant head coach? Calling a shotgun formation on fourth-and-one inside the five?! Not to mention last week settling for a FG before the half against the Giants when they had plenty of time to go for a TD or even just get it closer than a 47-yard attempt.

That was an awful call. You got to be more creative there. Especially when the Eagles gave them a golden opportunity to tie it and maybe steal a 'W.'

I feel sorry for Pennington. Watching him is sad now. The Jets should just give the ball to Clemens already.

When are they going to wake up and utilize Washington more in the offense?

Well, derek, you absolutely summed up that game perfectly. Seriously, that was about as perfect of a post-game synopsis you're gonna hear, The Boys did play well, Romo was good, they should have ran it more, TO and Crayton were good, the NFC East will be decided within the next 4 weeks, (and their backup Tight Ends name is Anthony Fasano out of ND :P)

sorry for the blow up calling out Giants fans where it wasn't nessicary...

And just a side note, boy oh boy do the Giants have a picture perfect time to play the Belicheats, last week of the season. Oooh man, by then the Pats will have clinched everything in the AFC, and the only place you will be seeing Tom Brady is in a Billacheat sweatshirt and a microphone. Biggest game of the first third-of-a-season for the Giants tomorrow.. should be a Giants blowout though.

the reason why he did what he did was for Klye Eckel who graduated from NAVY, he was an undrafted FA. his service time is up and Bill being a Navy guy wanted him to get his first TD cause who knows when he would of gotten it.

BTW Yes, as a Navy fan its really good to see him get this

and Giants should Win tomarrow night

6-0!

I was shocked to see the final score what it was.... when I left Toronto the Cowboys were winning. I was, like, how the heck did they blow a 14-0 lead? I can't see them coming back... Dallas has all the momentum. So I wasn't optimistic about coming home to a win.

:cryriver:

Hey I don't have a real problem with the weasel running it up on Dallas to tweak Phillips for his alleged quote. But come on, that's the same rationale we heard with getting Heath Evans a meaningless TD in Week 1. It's not as if the Pats aren't going to have a million chances to score TD's during the season anyway.

BTW Brady won't be sitting in the Giants game, unless the Pats are 14-1 instead of 15-0 :P

What a win for the Pats. They pretty much played as bad a game as they could and still sent the Cowboys home with their first loss. Maroney is out which makes the running game suffer, Brady seemed to be overthrowing the ball in the 2nd half, the Patriots Pass defense completely disappeared in the 3rd quarter and yet they still come out with a win.

As for the running touchdown with 17 seconds left you gotta remember it was the guys first touchdown its not like Brady dropped back and passed it to moss for a pointless rub it in your face touchdown. They let some nobody run the ball and get his first TD so its really not as bad as some have made it seem.

Was a good game and it's always fun watching Dallas play, the game just has a completely different feel to it.

Well BC won but Dallas lost. I am sure annoying guy won't say anything about Dallas since BC is now 3 in the rankings. Oh well they find a way to screw it up.

So are the Pats going to try and piss off every team this year?

The Patriots are the best team in the NFL. The are well prepared, well coached and focused.

Kudos to Belichek for assembling the pieces and making them fit. I WISH the Ravens had such great coaching and management.

Goodell Tells Bills To Use Bye Week To See If Football Is Something They Really Want To Be Doing

BUFFALO, NYFollowing another devastating loss to the Dallas Cowboys Monday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told the 1-4 Buffalo Bills to take time during their upcoming bye week to reflect on their season thus far and ask themselves if playing professional football is what they really want to be doing with their lives. "I'm not trying to push them in any particular direction," Goodell told reporters after the game, which the Bills lost despite forcing six turnovers, ultimately finding themselves unable to field a last-minute onside kick. "As commissioner, it's my job to put a quality product on the field each and every week and see that there is some kind of parity amongst the teams. I'll be curious to hear, especially if they decide to continue playing, where the Bills think they fit into an NFL that is continuously getting more and more competitive." Though most Bills fans were still too demoralized by Monday night's loss to comment on Goodell's request, those who talked to the media after the announcement said they "wouldn't give a flying f*** if those losers played another f**** football game ever."

Nothing much really to add here... I do gotta get back to work as I write this... so I'll just get to the rants !!!!

Sunday October 14:
St. Louis at Baltimore

How do the Ravens get this lucky to play the most putrid teams in the NFL in A ROW like this ?? Well I guess they need the help and I really cant take them seriously this year anyway until they show me better I guess since I overrated the Ravens defense and took them in the 4th round in NJDevs league I should be HAPPY right?? Anyway.. yeah the Rams got NOTHING, and Kyle Boellet had something umm.. yeah you think I watched a SECOND of this mess with too many games on at one and a Jet fan rant soon to come??

Minnesota at Chicago:
Oddly enough this game featured maybe the two most dynamic and dangerous players in the game Devon Hester and Adrian Peterson sadly while the Bears have both players they got the WRONG Peterson, and ever since the Cowboys ripped the Bears (and yes I WILL lay claim to the FACT that Dallas ruined their season still), no one has been scared of their vaunted defense and look when was the last time a back went for over a 100 forget 225 like Peterson did?? This kid is the REAL deal (damn near ran the end of game kickoff back for six too youd think of all teams the Bears would know KICK AWAY FROM HIM) but Peterson got it done and an absurd 56 yard kick later, the Vikings put the nail in the Bears chances of resurrecting theit season looks like the Bears passing game may be more serviceable then we though t now that Griese has half a clue back there (still not convinced hes either good or the answer for the Bears)

Miami at Cleveland:
Can it get any worse for the Dolphins?? Cleo Lemon ?? EGADS!!!!! Why are they not just calling it a year and startng that Beck kid already at least pop the kids cherry and get him some experience in the sh!t ya know?? What youre trying to make the game in England MORE unwatchable maybe?? Sloppy plays whiny Dolphin fans who thought EVERY incomplete pass was a penalty no... your receivers are THAT bad guys, and a good effort again from Braylon Edwards (how smart was I to play him over Larry Fitzgerald ??) and you get a Browns win and they are looking more like 8-8 or 9-7 and not the top 5 pick I was hoping for well at least Brady Quinn will never see the field this year!

Washington at Green Bay:
Real classic battle between two more evenly matched teams then people would think (and a note to Packer nation I know Brett loves to throw in the messy weather and all.. but he better get a running back who can carry the mail for when the Frozen Tundra comes back into play or they are gonna suck) the Redskins used a complete and balanced attack to keep themselves in this game between Betts, Portis, and Brians personal role model and man-crush Chris Cooley to give what the Packer fans called their toughest game of the year (admitting they HANDED the game to the Bears last week and I cant disagree) but one Santana Moss fumble on a reverse and a few dropped passes later and the Packers pull out a close one PS Brett Favre swim in a pool of AIDS for me would ya the ONE WEEK Manning is off and you play like sweaty ASS.. thanks!!

Houston at Jacksonville:
I thought this game was gonna be closer then it was (I like what Houston has done this year.. even though they are 1-3 without Andre Johnson which always hurts) I would have liked to seen MORE of this game but that rant is saved for the Jets game.the Texans played ok in the game, but Maurice Jones-Drew went OFF in the game and had 2 TDs and a 125 yards and Fred Taylor had some life today and when Jacksonville gets 244 yards on the ground and David Garrard adds 220 in the air youre NOT beating them!

Cincinnati at Kansas City:
Well lookie here the legendary Chiefs Guy made an appearance today.. and for those who missed the pissing match between him me and mike shame on you that was just golden its really funny actually when Mike starts talking smack for you cause you just KNOW the botched key word of the comeback is coming and you know you wanna POUNCE on it . But anyway Chiefs Guy did stand loud and proud today as even Larry Johnson found the end zone (well after Leon Lett-ing what was his first chance to score 6 this year) and the passing attack was good Tony Gonzalez is now the all time TD guy for Tight Ends (hed have had this 18 games ago if not for the Herm-Factor) and the Bengals really are pathetic, lifeless and LOST at this pointall the talent in the world and not enough heart to fill a cement mixer shot (which by the way.. if you ever wanted to drink vomit instead of puke it have one of those shots!)

Philadelphia at NY Jets:
Oh where do I start here ?? Well let me start with what annoys me in the first place we have a sorta rule at the bar (well I TRY to make it happen) when you see a bunch of fans sitting there watching your team SIT WITH THEM so we can maximize the fvcking TVs and get as MANY GAMES ON AS POSSIBLE and I was all happy.. had Houston and Jacksonville on in the corner got a good spread of games and then those worthless degenerate useless Jet fans WHO CAN WATCH THE GAME AT HOME and not to bankrupt my second home.. come order a to go order, get it at halftime leave a massive fvcking tip for our awesome bartenders (yes.. even heather :P) and GET THE fvck OUT OF THE BAR or HAVE THE DAMN COURTESY TO SIT BY THE BIG SCREEN WITH YOUR OTHER LOSER FANS AND GET OUT OF THE WAY OF GOOD FOOTBALL!!!! (see why I hate the locals?) anyway it made me GLAD you lost to the pathetic Eagles this way, because I swear the stupid juice must flow with the Jet Karma how do you have a guy with 130 yards on the day a limp armed FINISHED QB, and 4th and 1 on the 3 and youre throwing a limp corner route to a guy who did NOTHING all day when you should spread them out and let Thomas Jones make a play??? Get the fvck out of my bar and NOW *pfbbbbtttt* I give no credit to the Eagles, if they played any non-AFC East team (not called the Patrtios of course).. they lose this game by 20!

Tennessee at Tampa Bay:
When I saw this score come up I was how the HELL did the Titans lose this one?? Then I saw Vince Young leaves game with Quad Injury. Which means Kerry Collins was the QB.. and then I knew how they lost this game the Madden Curse hits again (can we please have Brady on the next ten years of it??) and Tampa Bay again does it what it has to do to win the game really I aint saying much more about this one cause it was a total DUD to watch!!!

4pm:
Carolina at Arizona:

For anyone who doesnt believe you need a good healthy QB to win in this league take a look at this game when Vinny Testaverde comes off the old folks home and comes out and leads your team to victory (well David Carr should just hang himself and those faggit gloves he wears every Sunday!). And Kurt Warner damages ligaments in his arms during his pre-game prayer no it was not really the hit in game that did it this was his Lord and Savoir raining down on him for improper use of prayer!! (damn the Jesus references come STRONG today!) Ummm.. yeah not that you wanted to watch it but it was a close game and I really wish I DIDNT watch it!!!

New England at Dallas:
Well the whole world saw it and yeah I was quite annoyed during and before this game (the verbal daggers were flying all over at people and the fvcking Jet fans *argh*) maybe it was best most people left me to be on my own for this one. The Cowboys spotted the Pats 14 points, by coming out nervous and missing plays (again) and letting the Pats march down the field (the irony is that usually its Moss who KILLS the Cowboys but they worked so hard to stop him it left the rest WIDE OPEN) Im not going to kill the secondary here (Newman and Henry are good but yes Roy Williams is more out of position then Vladimir Malakhov, but when you cant rush the passer I dont care WHO is back there defending and if its not Ware NO ONE is getting to the QB).. and I was just cranky (and too filled on Jack Daniels) to really break this one down good though its funny how I thought it was Cecilia who was the good luck charm for Dallasbut theyve been 5-0 with her there and yet Amanda takes the day off and the Cowboys LOSE hrrrmmm suspicious things ahoy at the Sun Tavern as always!!!
(though lets see which of my dirtbag friends tries to sell me down the river with THIS comment!)

Oakland at San Diego:
Its amazing how it took Norv Turner a full training camp AND six week to figure out what we all knew GIVE TOMLINSON THE DAMN BALL AND LOOK LIKE A GENIUS!!! (even more so with the top-tier job he did with Frank Gore last year) but yeah, when the Chargers get rolling the Raiders just got nothing to keep up with it and the Chargers were just ON for all sides of the ball today and this was a quick and painless smackdown and maybe finally with a few wins and some confidence from beating on some less then good teams. The Chargers might try to squeeze back into the mix this yearbut I am not fully buying until they beat a team on a closer level of talent then Denver or Oakland!!!

830pm:
New Orleans at Seattle:

What the hell happened to the Seahawks?? They NEVER lose at home in a game like this and even more so to a confused, lost and desperate for any kind of help Saints team but all of a sudden Reggie Bush looks like a running back Drew Brees is throwing down the field (I blame this simply on the benching of him by one Richard Leuchs!).. and Seattle just looked LOST out there though I really cant say much more about this game cause it was BAD to watch but one team in NFL History has come from 0-4 to make the playoffs.the 1992 Chargers (didnt they go all the way to the Super Bowl too?) the division is in shambles just look at the other teams this cant be taken seriously unless the Saints get above .500 but what other story is there in the NFC South now??

Monday October 15:
NY Giants at Atlanta:

Well this was NOT a fun game to watch unless you liked seeing Joey Harrington get bounced around like Rob Johnson (I needed one Bills reference this week) and you KNOW the game is bad when the ESPN idiots are praying for another Dallas like comeback from last week I do have to admit I did enjoy seeing DeAngelo Hall get schooled all game like he did but there really wasnt much to say here the Falcons try hard, but the O-Line sucks they can barley run the ball effectively the Wide Outs Drop more passes then Laflamme does bad pick-up lines and excuses.. and yeah.. yeech!! The Giants are doing what they need to do and FEASTING on the soft part of the schedule, but they HAVE too.. because the second half is still quite BRTUAL.. and well see its really anyones game behind Dallas in the NFC now.

The CRASHER Line NFL Power Rankings:
AFC:
1 New England yeah yeah.. shut up!
2 IndianpolisThem on a bye is still better then half the teams full speed!
3 Jacksonville.. balanced offense strong defense scary team!
4 Cleveland. Yes they are beating up on bad teams, but who expected 3 wins all year from them?
5 San Diego theyre giving you hints of a comeback..

NFC:

2. Green Bay Brett Favre needs running game BADLY!!
3. Washington showed you more in the loss then they have in their wins!
4. NY Giants still like San Diego, not fully buying yet but if you cant stop Burress or the pass rush they will murder you!

Pay homage to the INCREDIBLE scoring goalie!!!! :-)

I saw CRASHER trip a kid on skates and then he stole the kids lunch money and slapped his mom when she came to pick him up.. All because the kid looked at his crease

I realize they played the Falcons but come on. That was your classic trap game and Coughlin had them ready to play. It was nice to see really. This team has real nice balance now with our run attack and passing game. And the D is coming around.

I now post blog entries over at Giants Bits. I had last night's win. It's a solid site. The other blogger is really good and does pregame stuff. If you're a Big Blue fan, hope you check it out.

I don't see how you put the Skins ahead of them. They're still not consistent enough offensively. Plus the Giants got a win there. Even if the Skins' playcalling was miserable at the end.

I think you got to have the Titans still over the Browns even though Young went down. They're a better team. Give the Browns credit for what they've done. Oh. The Steelers got to be in there man. I know they had a bye but they're in the top four in that conference.

My rankings would be:

AFC

1.Colts- more balanced than Pats and might just be better defensively.
2.Pats- didn't play great Sunday but got away with it. Where's the run attack? Can a team who passes so much win a SB?
3.Steelers- this is a toss-up between them and Jags. I like Pitt better right now.
4.Jags- looking real good. Nice 1-2 punch at RB. Garrard coming around. D playing well. And won against a team they never beat in blowout fashion.
5.Chargers- LT is taking his team on his back. They should win that division on talent alone.
6.Browns- I kind of agree with Crasher on the Ravens. I can't take them seriously. Cleveland has impressed me plus they bombed Baltimore.

NFC

1.Cowboys- they could have lost two straight but that's pointing out obvious. They played well Sunday but when push came to shove, they couldn't stop Brady. Nice offensive balance kind of like Giants. Good attack up front but secondary is questionable.
2.Packers- defense is class of conference which forces turnovers and scores like they did in win over Skins. Favre is throwing it well but where's the run game?
3.Giants- have bounced back strong. Offense is clicking on all cylinders with underrated line giving Eli tons of time. Burress is shedding the label. Spagnulo's aggressive D is getting it done. Ross looking like playmaker but secondary still a question mark.
4.Bucs- you have to give Chucky credit. I thought this team would suck even with Garcia's addition. But despite the losses at RB, his team is finding a way to win games. Galloway is super fast still and scoring TDs. The D is playing well. I am impressed.
5.Panthers- they're here by default. My SB pick is relying on Testaverde now to win games. Steve Smith is still a beast. The run attack is blah. The D is good in spots. Can John Fox get this team in?
6.Seahawks- it's hard to take them seriously when they can't even win at home after awful showing at Pitt. And Holmgren's playcalling at the end was a joke. Let's try a FB dive on 3rd and long down 11 with time winding down. They were so disorganized. This team has talent on both sides but man. Wtf is wrong with them?

Derek the Titans without Young are FINISHED... I'm assuming he's missing at least a game or two with the Quad injury... Collins is no Vinny!

I try to avoid using teams on a bye but it's obvious the two teams on top of the AFC are on a different level

and I forgot to say it in my rush to sneak the review in during work hours... it is impressive how for ONCE the Giants are playing FOR Coughlin and not against him... maybe he has some Wayne Fontes in him and will NOT die ?? B )

I'm taking a pack of Packer bandwagoners (well not really wagon fans but they only come to the bar when they are good :P) telling me the Skins are the best team we played this year as an endorsment of how high i am on the Redskins... I like their balance and personell better.. they are winning without Moss and Randle-El, the Ginats would lose to Atlanta minus Plax and Toomer!

No respect I tell ya. That's like saying the Cowboys would lose to almost anyone without TO and Witten.

Young is tough. He'll be back. Captain Kerry is scary.

Man, that performance by Peterson was unreal. He's the real deal.

I think the Skins are good but don't you question their staff sometimes?
