The entire NHL only got about a blurb and a half in Sports Illustrated ... you know, one of the many crappy magazines that claims to cover sports yet neglects hockey. Anyway, in their HOT/NOT section, they had the Rags at the bottom of the NOT list (along with a photo of our favorite defector).

It said: Three $7 million-plus-a-year men (Scott Gomez, Jaromir Jagr and Chris Drury) does not add up to a good start. The team is 3-6.

Then, three pages later, none other than our own Zach Parise was in the Pop Culture Grid. Here were his answers:

When I was 10, I wanted to be ... A baseball player.
Last move I walked out of ... Napoleon Dynamite.
Song that pumps me up ... Taste of Ink (The Used).
Number of ties I own ... Probably 70.
I confess _____ makes me blush ... Nothing.

So there you have it. Every last word on hockey in this week's SI. You read everything worth reading, so don't bother buying it.

Holy sh!t! I knew there had to be someone else out there! Seriously, I remember downloading that movie and watching it with a friend and we were both pissed off as hell after all the hype. I didn't even pay for it and I felt cheated, I wanted the couple hours of my life back!

I abhor it as well. I'm happy for those of you who liked it, but personally, I like the tastes of you, Devilish34 and Zach Parise.

Edit: and you too thefiestygoat

Song that pumps me up ... Taste of Ink (The Used).

Seriously?

A Box Full Of Sharp Objects is entirely a more pumping-up style song. Or Maybe Memories. Maybe that's the Devs' problem, they thing The Taste Of Ink by The Used is supposed to get you amped for a hockey game.

I thought the same thing...either that or the secret song that album. Not a huge fan of screamo but that song will get me pumped every time. That and Time To Go by the Dropkick Murphys...nice old time hockey song..

As for Napolean Dynamite, that movie is almost brilliant. An awkward movie about awkward people and it's fantastic. Then again he's from Minnesota...maybe "Fargo" is more his cup of tea....
