The Pond in Anaheim usually has about 13,000 fans and it seems loud, but then again it not a cavernous tin can like CAA.

what can you say, the CAA was a mistake, what we needed was a small, cramped 16,000 seat arena that was built UP instead of built OUT. Instead we got the grand canyon.

I like the Pond, nice cozy arena.

As far as renovating CAA, a useful renovation would probably cost just as much as a new arena. They should just build one adjacent to the CAA, kinda like they did with the FU Center, except they can demolish the CAA when the new one is done.

I doubt very much youd see Brodeur gone... For the same reason theyd want to keep hockey in NJ, theyd prolly want Brodeur to stay a Dev... Resigning stevens... they might just tell him to enjoy retirement by the time the deal is finalized.

If this is true, it doesn't surprise me. We have had discussion about this on this board as way back as 2 years ago.

Even if they got the arena in Newark some of us believed they would sell the Devils but to an out of towner for an out of town move.

As for Lou, his years are numbered with the Devils anyway.

Devils can't draw.............................Period

NJ Devils are the CHAMPIONS & Nets Be Proud..Thanks to both NJ Teams for 2002/2003

"Bring Them On" sure George, your arrogant "my way or the highway" policies and remarks pissed the Iragi off more... 32 unnecessary US military deaths so far since G. W.'s remarks and dozens are wounded. It continues daily. Thanks Goerge. There are now 10-25 attacks against US soldiers daily.

Smart mouth, arrogant Bush, his kids are safe.

The BUCK never stops at BUSH if it's bad, he finds someone to take the blame for him, ie: Tenet's mea cupa.

Impeach G. W., the Iraq war was built on his lies...... lies........lies.

Do Not Re-Elect a Son of a Bush. Impeach him instead.

i've actually heard in some circles that mcmullen would buy the team back if he could. with the $$ still owed to him from the sale, he could "make" $75 million through the sales!

Any chance the Devs could still move to Nashville? ;)

I'll gladly send back the Predators in return!

2 of loudest arena's in NHL history, Miami Arena and Boston Garden, both seated about 14,500. But everything was packed so tight and close to the ice, the noise level was deafening.

Ah the joys of Miami Arena. A GREAT place to watch a game from. Back in 96 when the panthers made their run it got so loud in there the building would shake. Now that is a playoff atmosphere any team would love.

"Jay Pandolfo's last game at Boston University was against the Wolverines," Madden said. "My job was to cover his line. Jay had scored something like 30 goals in 30 games that season. And that was his 31st game. Guess what happened?"

"We always joke about it now," Madden said. "Jay tells me: 'You shut me down that game and you've been shutting me down ever since. The only problem is, now you're playing with me. ' "

Think they would do what the Yanks did back when Yankee Stadium was remodeled, they went to Shea and played?

I believe when they renovated MSG games were still being played there. They did most of the work during the summer.

.............Oh ..........errr........that's right summers tend to be longer at MSG!  :P

I would guess he'd stay with the Yankee Nets. Steinbrenner is really high on him.

Hmm perhaps Lou himself has been secretly stashing away cash, and wants to buy the team himself! :D

Didn't he own a share of it before?

"Quite frankly, all the players are getting paid too much and all the contracts are too long," general manager Lou Lamoriello said. "But if you want to compete in this market and you want to win, there are some things you have to do."
