To get away from the mindless trash talking glorified by E$PN and other sports outlets, looking at this game and I (unfortunately) see a 31-17 Pats* win. Reason? Sure Pittsburgh is stout against the run, but against the pass they are suspect, and since the Pats* do not really care all that much about running the ball, the Steelers strength in that regard is nullified. As long as guys like Maroney and Faulk can pickup the blitz, and Brady can recognize all the different blitz packages and schemes that Pittsburgh DC Dick LeBau will throw at them, the Pats* will score.

Other issues I have with the Steelers is the offense: Willie Parker has not been playing well lately, and the Steelers offense has a knack for settling for FG's. That will not cut it in Foxboro.

LOTCB.. I'm sure Dick LeBeau will drop Harrison/Timmons, back in the Field.. The Corners backs and the Safeties last week, did a nice job against the Bengals Wide Receivers(Johnson, Houshamzdh,Henry...)

Willie Parker.. Yup, he hasn't played very nicely lately..But, if we don't commit any kind of turnovers, and Big Ben and the O-line are playing their best game in their whole season,... And, if Polamalu and Holmes are coming back, this'll get much more interresant.. I think we can give the Patriots their money for a shot.

But hey... 2months ago, I didn't think the Steelers would beat the patriots. And right now, I don't think so. I'll be proud of my Steelers, if.. They keep the game closely... I'll be proud of them.

So, I'll be no surprise if the Steelers get beaten by the Patriots... As long as we can win our remaining games(Rams,Jaguars,Ravens,...)

We're going to be ok.

but obviously understand the geographical location that probably took place in this decision...

That's pretty much it. When growing up in Halifax we got the major US networks (ABC, CBS, NBC) out of Bangor or Portland, Maine. Maine = "New England" = only showing Patriot games, newstime sportscasts mostly about the Patriots, weekly shows with interviews with the players and Parcells...

So TZ... are we on? 1 week avatar bet?

No, I meant by the Steelers will keep the score close.

What makes you so confident with the Pats, when two weeks in a row, they almost lost to two huge Underdogs...Also, as a matter of fact, they'll play the best DEF in the whole NFl. And that Steeler OFF ain't the Ravens OFF, No.

So..

Your saying Pats 41-21??(+20?)

I say.. 31-27 Cheaters.

;)

So TZ... are we on? 1 week avatar bet?

sure.

Oh well, I maintained my point , you maintained your point. If it weren't for those 2big plays, the score would have been much less than that.(and... A SS who has the best incstinct in the whole NFl, would have sure helped.)

Congrats, your Cheaters won!! What else can I say?

I was half-wrong, half-right. The Steelers lost, (I was right.) but it wasn't close(I was wrong.)

Not so bad.
