So I posted a message under the "Official Trade Gio" thread and, as always, I made several glaring spelling mistakes. In fact I'm sure I'll be making some here as well.

In any event, I went to go edit the post and to my surprise, the editor cut out half of the post! I tried both the quick and the full to no avail.

I know there were issues earlier, but I can't post in that thread...

When you go to quote that post, everything between where the image was supposed to start and the smiley disappears. Wonder if it has something to do with posting images?

Edit:

It definitely seems to be so. Might even be a conflict between the smilies, the IMG tag and the IMAGE tag.

I did notice that it converts IMG to IMAGE once posted though.

Perhaps having the IMAGE tag set up to provide the exact same code as IMG wasn't such a good idea after all. We'll have to tweak it a bit.

And Sammy, I've noticed that some of your picture posts in AH have been having problems lately. Is that related to this or is it just bad code (unclosed URL tags, etc.)?

Usually unclosed tags or missing parts that I'm too lazy to go back and fix. That one in the Christina post was a prime example.

However, every now and then, not very often, I will post with an IMAGE tag and it won't work, if I change it to IMG it works fine. Kind of odd.

Also, it seems to have gone back to the old way where x amount of pics will be too much but if you remove the extras and then post them right away they'll become part of the first post. Used to say that there would be too many pics in the combined post. Anyways, this is a good thing so hopefully you won't change that.

Hey did you fix it Rowdy?

I was just going to post in this thread with the same issue when I edit the Keepers thread, but I just opened in to edit in another window and it comes up fine now. It was doing that weird stuff for the "hail" smiley before.....but looks fine now.

Just for the update, it does appear to be working now. I just tried to edit the same post and the whole thing came up this time... and no IMAGE tags, just IMG.


I think I must have missed that change... why is that important to you sammy?

Has to do with the pics I post in AH. Some sources use IMG and some use IMAGE. It was a hassle changing them from IMAGE to IMG so I asked DM if he could add the IMAGE tag and although he didn't have to, he was nice enough to do so! I thought it would be something simple but it seems it was more involved.

Aww man, whatever you guys "fixed" is causing this again:

I thought I had that loophole back.
