Did it ever occur to him that Devils fans may not want to waste their time sending emails to a show where their questions will be answered by Dumb and Dumber with an obvious Rangers bias?
Good point. That is like giving a blind guy keys to your car to drive you home.
Just useless IMO to even bother with this dumbass Trautwig.
Maybe he wants all the attention many are giving him? Maybe he knew this would rile up some Devils fans?

Dear Ernest,
We have conveyed our concerns to MSG management and they
indicated that this will be addressed. We appreciate your interest,
comments, and mostly your support of the New Jersey Devils.
Best regards,
Chris

i think the more disturbing thing is how the hell the devils wound up getting broadcast on MSG with rangers color guys filling in on broadcasts...the whole situation is laughable.
Right on, Brother!
The Devs finally got a real arena. Now it's time for a real Devils-flavored cable network!

Exactly. I was going to send him a legitimate email that he might read on the air, but I decided not to waste my time. I'd rather post here where the other posters are actually knowledgeable, unlike the MSG Pre/Post Game Show.Good point. That is like giving a blind guy keys to your car to drive you home.

of the Devils' mascot, NJ Devil, and
of all mascots far and wide.IT IS VERY HARD TO WIN ONE STANLEY CUP, FORGET ABOUT THREE... and maybe it's high time some of you actually APPRECIATED THAT instead of treating it like it's some flipping birthright because for some random reason you rooted for the damn Devils!!!!!

fischler knows more about hockey than anyone on this board and probably even trautwig is more knowledgeable than 80 percent of the people on here.
Then why do you post? You want the attention as much as Trautwig.
I do think Fischler and especially Cangelosi get too much grief because of working for the Rangers. Neither one is really that bad.

LOL. Trautwig is the definition of "empty suit."
I'll give Stan a pass because he's 4,000 years old and still somewhat with it. With all that time he's been around he's had to collect some knowledge. Trautwig is a shill, he even brought his shillness to VS (going after Kovalev for absolutely no reason, for example), to the point that, wow, he's not there anymore, and look at who they employ in the studio, it's a "who's who" of moron.
"The Coach" could do what Trautwig does. And the only thing the Coach knows about hockey is "The Goon."

Trautwig's made this kind of snarky remark at least three or four times this season if not more, I don't know why it's suddenly become a big issue now.
Part of me did actually think (the first couple times I heard it) he was trying to spark Devil fans into writing the show but when you say the same thing a few times I'm forced to conclude he's just a jacka--.
There have been occasions where he said there was no email from devils fans yet people on these boards have claime they emailed him.

Fo'reals. I hate Trautwig more than probably any other announcer/analyst around here, including Sam Rosen, but seriously now. You want them to talk about the Devils, e-mail the show like the Rangers and Islanders fans do. It's been a running thing all year long about how they have so few Devils emails compared to the other teams.
If Devils fans in general took the time and energy devoted to defending the Devils against slights both real and imagined, and focused that energy on talking about the club in newspapers, on sports radio, and on the pre-game shows like this, those slights real and imagined would both cease to be.

How do we know this, because he says so? I've read at least two or three posts from people claiming they did e-mail the show and I'd bet at least a half a dozen others here will say the same thing. Which would make him at best a bold-faced liar, misunderstood meaning or not.
Why should Devil fans watch the show when they have basically two minutes of coverage on nights the Rangers are playing?

The one good thing I can get from this is the small group of about 50-100 people got someones attention.

Two or three or a half dozen people is nothing. I don't really give a crap what Al Trautwig or Stan Fishler think of the Devils chances in the post season or Brent Sutter's line shuffling, but I e-mail them questions from time to time anyway just to get them to talk about the Devils on a Rangers/Islanders heavy show. It's the defeatist, why-should-we-bother attitude that pushes the Devils out of the local limelight.
You also have to remember that their producing a TV show. They're not just going to pick any e-mail, they're going to want something that's going to fit in with their discussion or serve as a jumping point for discussion that the majority of viewers are going to care about, and until they have proof that Devils fans are actually watching and care, why should they cater to us?
