1. Mattias Tedenby, LW – HV71 (Swe.): When you think of flash and offensive dazzle, New Jersey isn’t the first team that leaps to mind, but maybe the door is opening a bit with the selection of Tedenby. The slick Swede has feasted on North American competition in the past, so the transition to the NHL is a welcome one for him.
“I really like to play the North American guys,” Tedenby said. “The play is fast and I can use my speed and technique.”
Along with burgeoning youngsters such as Zach Parise and Travis Zajac, Tedenby could help manufacture a lot of offense for the Devils in the future, though it’s likely the youngster will play in Sweden next year for a little more experience.
Still, if Tedenby or Parise shift to the right wing, the Devils would have a potent and speedy first line in their near future.

Parise and Tedenby on the same line? Throw Gio in there and we can call them the Mites on Ice.

Doesnt hurt the Montreal Canadiens with the Kostityns and Plekanec, Koivu and such.
We have plenty of size for the bottom 6 anyway, actually thats one of our main strengths.

I'm not a believer in switching players to opposite wing positions, especially when they're smaller players. Having to cut in like that is just asking for defensemen to demolish them. If a person's played one wing most of his life, keep him there because he's probably not going to be nearly as effective in a different spot.
Demolish is right, specially in the nhl rinks. He's probably used to those big european rinks.

The hottest overlooked player, yeah.So Tedenby was the Hottest Player selected?
I really like Tedenby. People are already forgetting of a kid named Carlson, and who can blame them? I look forward to seeing how he does.
