I'd say no one's really out of it yet... and besides Denver, no one in the AFC is really overwhelming.... case in point, the Ravens are 2-0, that's a damning statement on the AFC!

Raiders coach Lane Kiffin was not fired yesterday by Raiders owner Al Davis, so he lives for another week in the NFL.

Rams bench QB Mark Buldger and will start Trent Green this weekend vs. the Bills.

Steelers RB Willie Parker is out for this Monday nights game vs. the Ravens.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Super Bowl star Plaxico Burress was suspended for one game by the New York Giants on Wednesday for an undisclosed violation of team rules.

General manager Jerry Reese and coach Tom Coughlin informed Burress of the suspension Wednesday morning before the team held a bye-week practice.

According to Fox Sports, which first reported the suspension on its Web site on Wednesday, Burress did not report to the team facility as expected on Monday and did not return phone calls from the team seeking an explanation.

The suspension takes effect immediately, meaning Burress will miss the Giants (3-0) game against the Seattle Seahawks on Oct. 5.

Not that I am comparing the two, but it's what people thought when Chris Benoit disappeared for a weekend... and I think we all remember how THAT turned out... it's kinda scary when people just up and disappear for what seems to be no reason, and there should be a bit of concern, wrestler, hockey player, football player... whatever....

just hopefully it's not something that leads to something else worse down the road as these weird episodes can lead to (and Plaxico is a kinda weird guy anyway)

Who saw a lot of this coming… the Bengals were not embarrassing… the Browns are FINISHED, done GOODBYE… the Patriots have gone kablooey (and Ronnie Brown STILL has “Don” Leuchs doing shots left and right)… the NFC East looks invulnerable, Atlanta is 2-1??!?!? and Buffalo STINKS again (but still freaking wins!!) Gotta love the NFL!!! Sorry this was a day late, I was feeling kinda sick yesterday and neeed to rest up before I got ready to rumble!

Chiefs at Atlanta:
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I love Herm-a-Mania!!! This is a vintage Herm special… that 95th string QB the Chiefs are putting out there is brutal…. The Falcons ran left right and sideways (Michael Turner must think he was still a Charger!)… and even Matt Ryan was tossing BOMBS to Roddy White… and any team that can do ANYTHING on offense is better then the Chiefs….it’s amazing how uncontrollably BAD the bad teams in the NFL are (yes you KC, yes you Detroit… and certainly Cleveland and Cincinnati!), hot damn I am wasting too much time on this pro football stem-cell abortion!

Oakland at Bills:
Damn Mcadden has a SERIOUS boot on his foot….the Raiders come out and play good defense (hell even that stiff DeAngelo Hall got a pick), and the Raider storm out 16-7 on the Bills… but it seemed more like denial of the Bills being able to accept a chance to strangle the AFC… Buffalo fights back but Russell throws a laser and that random dude wearing 15 goes ludicrous speed… Bills down nine… BUT THE COMEBACK IS ON!!!
Trent Edwards… Marshawn Lync…. Roscoe “P.” Parrish… down the field (though why do you have two time outs and you LET your opponent run the clock out and kick a field goal? No wonder Al Davis wants to fire you… you’re dumber then he is!)…Just looked like it took the Bills 3 Quarters to wake the Farooq UP!!

Tampa at Chicago:
Good God they needed 5 quarters for this disaster! And 67 Brian Greisie passes!?!?!? What the hell?!?!? They were able to get nothing on the ground (as Earnest Graham owners were whining all week long)… it still tells you how miserable the Bears offense is when you throw a TE Screen right into the belly of a Tampa linebacker… and then BRANDON LLOYD is your star receiver!?!?!? Good God… it’s ugly! The Bears are up 7 with 1:59 to go, and their “vaunted defense” gets marched right down by legends like Antonio Bryant and IKE HILLIARD (not to mention the bum throwing the balls)… and JEREMY STEVENS catches a touchdown…and you get what you deserve…the joy of beating on the colts is LONG forgotten in Chicago now (hell they were 2 plays from being 0-3 anyway)

Carolina at Minnesota:
Desperation effort and win for the Vikings here… though it wasn’t looking good going into the half… Carolina came out strong and controlled the game early (though if you follow Carolina’s M.O. this year, you knew this was a bad sign)…but this game turned on one play… Antoine Winfield sacks Delhomme… fumble… touchdown and like I said when it happened… the Vikings never looked back… they had Gus, and they travelled!! Wasn’t the most enjoyable of games, but it was one the Vikings HAD to have, and they showed up, got a break and got it done!!!

Miami at New England:
So Miami stomps a mudhole on the Pats and WALKS IT DRY…wow… they run the ball left right sideways and from the QB Position… and yeah if you didn’t watch the game you’d go… well Cassel sucked and he’s not Tom Brady…WRONG… Cassel was 15 of 20 for 105 yards, that 105 yards tells you something… BELICHECK WAS TOO CHICKEN sh!t TO LET HIM THROW DOWN THE DAMN FIELD… and when your opponent has Will Allen and someone WORSE on their corners… YOU THROW THE BALL DOWN THE FIELD…. And YOU HAVE RANDY MOSS!! Good job Belichicken!! It’s amazing how the evil Emperor doesn’t look as imposing without Darth Brady back there to do all his dirty work…. Don’t get me wrong this is a HUGE win for Miami and it puts them back on the map (and me back on the 7-9 bandwagon!), but this loss goes right on the Patriots and they get two weeks to sit on this stink in their bathrooms!

Bengals at NY Giants:
OK, the Giants did play like ass… one of those classic playing down to the opponent… but again I’m gonna slam the Bengals here… they had caught the Giants totally napping and thinking this was another pasty bye week game (and it WAS).. and when you’re 0-2 and dead in the water and you get a chance to steal a big win on the road in a game you got NO chance in… YOU HAVE TO WIN THE GAME.. but yeah the Giants won, made enough plays to beat the Bengals (and I think it was a plan to torture my Jet fan buddy who went to the game with his Bengal fan wife and her buddies, hoping for a blowout to get the hell out of there and see some good football… and he gets stuck at an OT Stinker!)… geesh….

Texans at Titans:
Time to burst the bubble on the Texans,eh? Matt Schaub got pummeled…. Least Steve Slaton had 116 yards (you’d think when your passing game Is getting beaten on, you’d hand the ball off to the guy getting six and a half yards a carry… dumbasses!!)… the Titans seem to have everything going for them… they can run the ball with three guys, play good aggressive REAL defense (not like that posing in Baltimore….) and do enough in the air to balance it out… it‘s not pretty but damned if it don’t work (not to mention the power of a top notch coaching staff behind it)… Looks like Tennessee is for real yo, fo’real!

Arizona at Redskins:
Looks like Washington has put a dreadful week 1 effort behind… getting the ball to Clinton Portis, throwing the ball down the field… playing decent defense (and what is up with WR’s and RB’s throwing the ball down the field this week!?!?!?)… Arizona stays in this game, and even ties it at 17… but then Kurt Warner tosses up a prayer… tipped… intercepted… touchdown!! (don’t worry Kurt, your coach may not forgive, but Jesus will!)…. But how the hell doe Arizona punt the ball away on 4th down with that crap defense and at mid-field?? Sounds like coach forgot he’s NOT in Pittsburgh anymore…
Washington runs the clock out and gets it’s second win in a row against an NFC Division leader and plays the 3rd one on Sunday (and another NFC East team with a nasty schedule… wow….)

Saints at Broncos:
850 yards of offense….66 points on the board… and the game ends on a missed field goal…..go figure! Fun game all around… and Reggie Bush was all over the place, catching passes, jumping into the end zone….and not to mention the Bronco offense just looks UNSTOPPABLE now (which does annoy me because this means that douche Shanahan gets an extentions *ggrrr*)… this is worth watching on NFL Replay if you get the chance.. and does anyone have a more unstoppable offense then the Broncos??

Lions at 49ers:
Ah, the universal cure to re-gaining an all world offense… play the Rams, guess we will be seeing FIRE MATT MILLEN signs at Red Wings games again…..JT O’Sullivan, drunk Irish guy and all (see I’m part Irish I can stereotype them )… and the 49ers are throwing the ball all over the place… but at least the Lions improved and only fell behind 21-3 (as opposed to 21-0 in the other two games)… but you really watch this game past the first quarter to see how Gore did (or made obscure Transformer references at Calvin Johnson… yes I mean YOU Rich…)…. And imagine if the 9ers played a SPOT of defense with the Cardinals… they’d be 3-0… DAMN

Rams at Seahawks:
There seems to be a magic “fix all your teams problems” potion floating around the NFL now… it’s called “have the Rams next on your schedule”… this team has talent, but it proves the fact that talent means nothing if you can’t block for it…Steven Jackson can’t run… Torry Holt makes no plays… and Marc Bulger is on his back more then the Brooklyn Brawler (oh yeah, the Rams are the Wrestling Challenge Jobbers of the NFL), what a simply AWFUL effort by the Lambs…I can’t give the Seahawks any credit… screw that…they took out the trash, hooray?

Browns at Ravens:
The Browns suck against good teams, they suck at home, they suck on the road, they suck to crappy teams and did NOTHING against a team we really don’t know a lot about with the Ravens and you think with all the football quality that was on at 4 (more so Saints and Broncos which I watched EVERY SECOND OF)… yeah I wasn’t watching this trash.. more so when the Browns get desperate and bring in that STIFF Brady Quinn… yeah… get your draft board ready in Cleveland this year is DONE, FINISHED, GOODBYE!! I have to admit seeing the Ray Leis destruction of Winslow was pretty sweet!!!

Jacksonville at Indy:
Looks like the Colts will be begging for the old RCA Dome to come back at this point… 0-2 at home, the Colts defense is soft and worthless without Bob Sanders (he means more to this team then Peyton Manning… look at the results when Sanders is out)… and look how the Jags walked down the field with the game on the line to kick the winning field goal after Joseph Adaai dove in the end zone to take the lead?? That tells you all you need to know about the Colts this year… too soft, too beat up and this may be a year they miss the playoffs (I know this is a LONG time from now but they are in a BIG HOLE), and maybe this is the game that fixes Jacksonville, but I don’t know… they still can’t block unless they play a team softer then they are at the moment…..I still see Freddie Taylor busting out tackles on Colt defenders who were AFRAID to get in there and knock him down!

Steelers at Eagles:
Boy this was an ugly stinker eh? But when Westbrook gets hurt, McNabb gets knocked out of the game and even Roethlisberger gets sacked EIGHT TIMES... not a pretty game, and let’s be fair I was too busy enjoying the Saints/Bronco game (and the 49ers beatdown)… add in Willie Parker getting beat up too… and you can see why this was an ugly game and I ain’t got much to say about it….tough, nasty battle… NFC East football basically…. Which is why the NFC East team WON it (looks like we’re gonna put the AFC North back into it’s place…)

Cowboys at Packers:
We learned a lot about Green Bay in this one…. Well we learned they are a step behind Dallas for sure (not a bad thing), we learned Aaron Rodgers still does not make mistakes and is a hundred times the smarter QB of the guy throwing random lawn darts to Charger D-backs…the Packers tried to keep up, but settling for field goals ain’t gonna do it… Dallas has game breaking playmakers at EVERY position (well maybe not O-line, but all they need do is maul people anyway…)… Dallas just gets plays everywhere and anywhere… Felix Jones, Marion Barber… you key on Owens and (Miles) Austin 3:16 says I just ran past your ass!!! And Dallas just keeps on … keeping on!!

Monday Sept. 22:
Jets at Packers:
It was the theme of this week and boy did it hold true here… you take the talented 0-2, and then you add in the fact they lost TWO games by a COMBINED three points and then you make them angry scoring on defense in their first drive…. And boy did the wounded tiger backed into the corner come out fighting… and boy did the Chargers start to spill some guts!! 17 straight points… and a pick six by Cromartie and away the Chargers went!! (well they had some help from Brett Favre… y’all wanted him unleashed… well enjoy your poison!)… this was a MUST game for the Chargers and simply put the Jets got buzz-sawed! (sets up an interesting game with the Cardinals next week too)

NFL Power Rankings Week 3:
AFC:
1. Denver…. Unstoppable offense, just needs to have the ball last and they win!
2. Buffalo… wins ugly, but just won baby!! (ouch, that’s a Raider dig!)
3. Tennessee… talk about ugly wins….geeeesshhhh
4. Baltimore… this is merely an indictment on the level of trash in the AFC at present!
5. Pittsburgh… well it was either them or New England, least they didn’t get STOMPED by Miami…

NFC:
1. Dallas… another week another quality win against a quality opponent….
2. NY Giants… again please get back to me when you play NFL teams *sigh*
3. Phily… beat AFC Quality (almost an oxymoron), but at quite the cost….
4. Washington…. Beat two division winners, plays another one next week (another team that can scream about rough schedules)
5. Tampa… ugh, ew, gross… New Orleans needs to win more so I never need mention this bland, yeech team again 67 pass attempts or not!

Actually its a good thing the team suspended him. Some teams don't have the balls to suspend their star players. if you ask me T.O. would've been suspended a few times for the stuff he has pulled, said and done on the cowboys. T.O. always a whiner and always will be... He cried after losing in the playoffs, which is sooo unprofessional! Suck it up, you got beat fair and square.

.... Burress violated team rules and now he pays for it. Simple. Thats the way it goes. its no big deal because that is what supposed to happen when player violates team rules... its no big deal in the sense the giants will step up AS A TEAM and play fine against seattle. the giants dont rely on star players to do well... they rely on TEAM EFFORT.

FF Champions are predominantly made in the first few rounds. Winners have typically have won when they have drafted LT, Brady, Alexander and Johnson/Holmes the past few years.

Aside from that my middle rounds were better than most (e.g Rivers was highly criticized when I picked him, but is the #1 ranked QB in the league) the only potential mistake I made in the draft was my gamble on the Jets in utilizing their most explosive back properly- Leon Washington (which is why they should be 0-3).

It's a long season I expect to be in the final 4.

I picked Peterson in my money league.... as my flex guy (remember I am in 4 leagues this year)
then again getting Braylon Edwards in round 12 last year worked out well too

you name me the team that wins in fantasy football that doesn't have some late round/waiver wire genius in it, or have you not actually won a league anywhere to be able to compare it too???
