Darn it, Gio is gone.

I think its time for Lou to shake things up. I like that Rupp, Gio, and Clemmer are gone. Lets see what new/other players can do.

I can't say that I agree...I would have taken all three back in a second.

I want our younger players to get playing time, and I believe in a few years they will be reliable NHLers, but we're in for a long season if we think that Leblond and Bergfors can replace Rupp and Gionta. We need to bring someone in from the outside, but really, who's left?

TG say that there are talks of Koivu. Clemmer would not have gotten any playing time had he signed with the Devils. Personally I want to see Brodeur play every game possible. I like the idea of Frazee being his backup though. The Habs grossly over paid for Gionta whose play has seriously declined since his 48 goal season. Im thinking

I would love to see Frazee in the NHL, but I think he needs more playing time than he is going to get as Marty's backup.

Also, I'd be happy with that forward lineup, but signing Koivu and re-signing Shanahan are big question marks at this point.

Plus, I would have liked to see us pick up a defender.

I have those plastic shelf units that come apart i use when i do sports memorabilia shows, so i'll be bringing them for my gloves and helmets i bring. I really have to narrow it down though, so i'll be bringing the photomatched stuff.

We discusses on the ride back from the city tonight that we are going to have a penalty box installed in the living room. When people are too drunk or say stupid stuff or ... whatever really, they get assessed a penalty and have to sit in there.

That will also be useful when her and I get into arguments.

The one year deal is telling. And did you read his quotes? Seemed less than happy with the Devs management. Gio's departure, in contrast, was pure class.

But more importantly, what does this do for the stagnant Pelley sweater market!
