Nashville is not willing to part ways with Arnott, but the Isles publicly alleges that Guerin is on the block right now.

And where does he fit?

We could just about fit in Shanahan by sitting Pando or Rupp..

Now if Shanhan gets 8 goals and 8 assists the rest of the regular season (40 games), that would be 50 000 a goal and 25 000 a point, If Parise gets 50 goals and 50 assists that is 62 500 a goal and 31 250 a point.

Okay, so what's the over-under on Shanahan getting 8 goals in the remaining half-season?

You and me both MB.

I was just kidding around, BUT I would trade for Arnott anytime. He is the one player I always hoped would comeback to the Devils. Hey, one can dream. :P

Take the over Don. He is a goal scorer and will score goals for the Devils. I'll take the over.

23 in 73 games last year also on the 3rd/4th line plus PP. I would honestly pick the over here.

He's my favorite Devil of all time, bar none. I just got a red authentic koho arnott jersey for only 60 bucks, and I plan to put the "A", "2000 NHL" patch, and "2000 Stanley Cup" patch and re-create the single greatest moment as a sports fan I've ever experienced.

i think that's a bad bet, but i think 8 is a solid line.

shocked the contract is for this little. i figured even though lou was bidding against himself that shanahan is a marquee player and would have a problem taking such a huge paycut. i guess it shows that shanny really wanted to play again and that he wanted to leave his new team room to get some other guys if they wanted to.

Langs is the captain, deal with it.

If Doc Emrick, who called yesterday's Bruins-Rangers on NBC, were a national network's lead baseball or football play-by-player, he would be widely known as among the finest in the history of television.

He'll practice in Columbus. So maybe he'll play on the island or against the Preds most likely unless Lou wants him to practice with the team for a little longer.

I hope his first game is in Nashville, it would be awesome to be one of the only Devils fans to see his return live!

Good news to hear. Maybe he will play in the NYI game on Saturday night. if Lou and Sutter wants him to practice more with the team it could be Nashville, definitely the habs game back home at the Prudential Center.

no one wanted Shanny if he took Lou's pro rated $800k. Lowest risk move of the year.

I think the biggest question will be how long it takes him to get into form. It's taken Sundin a few games and Shanny has a couple years on him. Maybe 4-7 games before we see the real Shanahan?

Edit:

nhlnumbers.com is updated with Shanny counting as a $383k cap hit and the Devils having $2.056M of remaining cap space.

Kaberle has been in and out with some mysterious "nagging injury" I think.

Jersey #94? :whistling:

As far as Sheldon Souray, yeah everyone says that it has been a rumor for a long time, but remember, Marty and Sheldon own that pizza place in Montreal... Im just saying Marty may have a little pull with Souray into talking him to come here, especially with the team we have this year and the real chance we have at a run for the Cup this year. :koolaid:

EDIT
Well well, Ive found the hidden page on the Devils website for Mr Shanahan, hes already taken a photograph sporting the Devils jersey. Also interesting point is that the little player drop down menu next to his name, has all the players from Lowell not NJ, starting with Bergfors... It also still has him though as #14, is anyone #14 on Lowell?... Maybe Gionta's as good as gone.... or Maybe Madden is gone... who knows lol Guess time will tell.... Link below.

I was at the Fraser signing we talked about the Retro jerseys. He says the team is excited to wear them and Clarkson was running around the locker room with his red helmet on like a madman.

Nice. That's cheap. I feel a little bit relieved. He must be close to playing then. Why sign him and waste money if he isn't ready to go.

Also looking at his stats, on a side note, in just 10 games, he will have played 1500 games... Interesting number as Rolston just reached 1000. Shanny is also 10 assists away from 700 all time career assists. Maybe he should come back wearing #10 lol
