I know it's not marty but why couldn't he please have stopped one of those even. He could of had all of them even... not to be an ass but i think they will draft a goalie this year...

Wrong. even if Marty isnt the answer they have a top notch prospect in Jeff Frazee.

And its reality check time, even though it stings and yes it stings for sure; Marty has brought us to the playoffs every year since the nineties. he will be back next year and hopefully 100% healthy

To disintegrate like that in a game frigging 7......a lot of positives on this team, but outweighed by far too many negatives. What a sad, depressing way to go.

I thought the team had a ton of heart and am far from embarrassed to be a fan of the team. Every player had moments of brilliance and error (sometimes madness). I don't think people should be making knee-jerk reactions to the loss. It was a great series where it was basically back and forth each game.

-If history dictated who should win based upon how the series was played, it would have been the Devils.
-If history dictated who should win based upon how these team played against each other, it was Carolina.

The only fact that can be said is that Brodeur should no longer be viewed as being "at the top of his game" and that is simply an age issue. He had some amazing plays and some where I still go "huh?" Really no different than anyone else on the team.

The Devils weren't up 4-1 versus the Canes only to lose in seven games like the Rangers did. Pick another team to pull for (I'm pulling for the Blackhawks), deal with the loss, and be ready next year to pull for the team.

I truly think that one play to keep play in the zone on the far boards was clearly out the zone and should of been called offsides.No way as far as he was over the zone line he kept that in

You are right but at the end of the day the Devils can't win playoff games with Marty in net. Not this year not last year and not the year before.

In 2 min most of my summer just went down the drain. Not only that I need to hear about other teams this year in the playoffs and then to think about it next season too. At least the post game I'snt just them reshowing the goals over and over. Here is hoping the roster is good next year. Cant wait for FA month now.

Ya this is true but he's the only one is the problem. Most systems have maybe 2 or 3 decent looking ones, im not counting caruso. At least we have that extra 3rd rounder this year to snab something. Where are you tedenby!?

O and I hope bergfors makes this team next year. Some youth to press our vets

I think Lou at least needs to explore trading Marty to see if someone will overpay (however Lou measures that). There has to be some team that is close enough and thinks he has enough left to give serious value in return but I don't see a 25 game playoff run in him anymore. I want to beleive he can but I don't.

So angry...how can they not keep that lead. What are they doing not clearing the puck at all in this series? Its just so depressing, I mean if they lost 4-0 again it wouldve been easier like someone said, but this is really the worst way to lose. Time to reevaluate some players on this team...Zubrus comes to mind.
