and I don't need Hillary Duff "songs" added to our crappy stoppage songs list
I saw CRASHER trip a kid on skates and then he stole the kids lunch money and slapped his mom when she came to pick him up.. All because the kid looked at his crease
CRASHER's official list of high stick victims from this forum:

I haven't really heard much on this board about Mike Comrie. Before going to Ottawa he seemed like he had some real skill on a terrible Islanders team. Do you think he could fill the 2nd line center vacancy?
Comrie isn't a guy Lou wants around. He has a bad attitude, he may put up points but he won't make a difference on this team. He probably would take a 2 year deal which is in the Devils range but he wouldn't produce as much as he is needed to.

1yr/1mil is a risk I'd take.
not on mike comrie. he's a lazy backchecker, everything i've read about him is negative, and he was never that good a player to begin with

Why not? We're risking Illka Pikawhoever. Maybe Comrie needs a little Lou like structure in his life.
mike comrie is the jimmy carson of this generation. can you really see him starting to play defense at 29?

Agreed. He just isn't very good. Ottawa traded for him this past year for the purpose of re-signing him in the off-season, and he just crapped the bed so poorly that Murray wants nothing to do with him. 10 goals last year and 17 assists in just 63 games. Pretty bad. Especially when points is the only thing he has to offer.
I can't see him taking a 1 year - $1 million contract. That would be a hard pill to swallow. Comrie just finished making 4 million a year. He's used to living a certain lifestyle with his superstar girlfriend. Although, I don't know what choice he has to be honest.
But I'd be shocked if Lou went near him.

"The Stanley Cup has fallen from the Stars. The new millennium has its first Stanley Cup Champion, and it's the New Jersey Devils." Mike Miller calling the Devils winning the Stanley Cup.
"It goes to the captain and then there are handoffs during a skate around the ice" Mike Emrick as Scott Stevens is being presented the Stanley Cup.

There is a reason no one wants him.

I tell ya what, if it means running into Hillary Duff at games, I might not be entirely opposed to signing the guy.
Exactly, I also might be inclined to goto more games and sit in premium seats.
