Huge game today. A win would give us a strangle hold in this series and an amazing chance to be in the Stanley Cup Finals. Go Devils Go!!!

"The Stanley Cup has fallen from the Stars. The new millennium has its first Stanley Cup Champion, and it's the New Jersey Devils." Mike Miller calling the Devils winning the Stanley Cup.

"It goes to the captain and then there are handoffs during a skate around the ice" Mike Emrick as Scott Stevens is being presented the Stanley Cup.

Winner of the 2004 Lady Byng Award and the 2003 and 2004 Joe Nieuwendyk award.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"He has no ego," says Lou Lamoriello, general manager of the New Jersey Devils. "I don't think he has a selfish bone in his body. It gets infectious with people around him, but that's Joe. Having him here was something very special."
------------------------------------------------------------------------
And the simple truth is this -- before and after Joe Nieuwendyk, this franchise has not been as good. Yes the same could be said for others, but Nieuwendyk's effect on his team, on his team's best players, on the fans and in the community can only be compared to, well, what Jarome Iginla is doing now in Calgary. Still po'ed after the last game as the NHL has again shown that "they" don't want NJ anywhere near the finals.

RATINGS!

Look for the Sens to get a nice advantage again today on the PM and Marty will again have to steal one.

"Marty Party" and #4 will pull this out!

F' Fraser, but God Bless him off the ice.

Speak the topic can only be pinned by a moderator.

Now Burns was right--the offsides not called eventually led to a Sens' goal

Sens played hard, Brodeur was very good.

Ugh, a little annoyed that Chara didn't get the call for demolishing Gomez after the whistle. Blaaah...

Come out strong in the second boys!

I can't believe how nervous I am - like when my son is the starting pitcher! I hate that feeling!

Go Devils! Don't let the Sens back into this series!

Yeah, stay strong! This last second goal might give the Sens some "oomph" but the Devils need to extinguish that immediately. Good game so far.

Devils are playing VERY flat.

And they don't deserve to win right now, Ottawa is just playing amazing desperate hockey.

2-1 Varada gets the goal.

Devils need to start skating out there, they look horrible.
