It doesn't matter who the coach is or what style we play, as long as we win.
So if the new strat is to have all the players lay in the goal the whole game and play for the 0-0 tie and then try to get the extra point in the shootout you're ok with that?

I was at the Fraser signing we talked about the Retro jerseys. He says the team is excited to wear them and Clarkson was running around the locker room with his red helmet on like a madman.

My only concern is if Parise is held back offensively then he may not want to resign with the team. But Rolston did well under Lemaire so I hope that Parise does too.

This could be one of the worst days in the history of the franchise.
perhaps it's time to move Grandpa Lou to a nice place...assisted living community, etc.

I'm not going to be a big fan of the move if we get Lemaire. But if we hit the ground running in October, eh, I'll take it.

WOW...that's a little heavy.
Remember if Lemaire sucks this year, Lou has no problem firing coaches.
IMO as long as Lou is here the coach is not as important as they are to other teams.

No its not that heavy. If this is indeed true, I think everyone owes msweet an apology over the "Is Lou Delusional" thread. I'm done with Lou. I'd go into further detail, but I'm holding out hope it's not trueThis could be one of the worst days in the history of the franchise.

Well we can expect a Stellar year from Marty under Lemaire.... I bet it will be his best year in roughly 4-5 seasons
In his last two full seasons, he's put up his second- and third-highest season save%s, despite facing the highest and third-highest season shot totals.
How much more stellar can he be expected to be, unless you're thinking the shots-against will go down.
If it IS Lemaire who's going to be named head coach, I don't think it's going to be as horrible as some here think. I'm going in with an open mind.
[Mark Messier]: A big, bald attention whore with a stupid Easter Island-lookin face. - from who else? DaneykoIsGod!
Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
Can the coach do that ? Switch the goalies 5 seconds to go in overtime? - Most priceless quote ever posted on a message board.
Martin Brodeur: THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS!, 12 straight seasons of 30+ wins, 3 Stanley Cups, 4 Vezina Trophies, and zero respect from too many so-called Devils "fans" who are either too young or too bandwagon to remember the much darker days of Sean Burke, Craig Billington, Bob Sauve, Alain Chevrier, and the talented but overwhelmed Chico Resch, among many others.
It's easy to support a great player when he's playing at his very best. It takes a true fan to support that same player during those rare moments and stretches when he's not. Babe Ruth went 0-4 some games, and sometimes Wayne Gretzky was held pointless. There may be such a thing as greatness, but no such thing as absolute perfection every single night.
