Hey DM--trying to adjust to the new look--I'll get there but I'm really missing the equivalent of the "view new posts" from the last version. How will that work with the newbee and when will it be online? Thanks....

I am assuming (making an ass out of u and me)that it will be back when search is enabled. As per above, the forum is in economy mode, so you can't use "search" which the "view new posts" uses. But that's only my uneducated guess. DM beat me to it...

Its in the top right, view new content. Search is offline so it won't work for the moment. But it is the same feature.

Nice upgrade and like that you can read it from a cell phone now. It will just take a while to get use to for me as I am use to the old skin and features. Good job DM.

What about the "Last post by: Martysb3tt3r" button. While that isn't exactly mandatory for online, it makes searching on on a phone much easier because you can get to the bottom of the page. At least in my prior experiences with the old NJDevs on my mobile.

That's what I get for trying to find the option on a computer all day. I'll try the site on my cell phone and see how it works.

Yea, trying to fix that. Also having issues still with search. I freaking wait for the software to get out of beta, and still somehow feel like I am the guinea pig. No wonder so many people still use windows XP. if it works don't mess with it!

The Facebook option doesn't show up when using Google Chrome. When I logged in using IE it's there, weird but just FYI if anyone else was wondering. It could be the browser you're using.

Right. I don't know if the iPhone and iPod Touch obey the "mobile device" rules, but if they do, you should be seeing a rather plain site. It will look different on a PC, though I had to manually switch the skin to the regular one after viewing the site on my phone.

I think it does, I looked at my settings and I am on a lo-fi device. So I'll have to check out the site tomorrow at work.
It sucks though as I never had any problems with the old site on my touch.
Actually my iPod runs faster than my cruddy old laptop.

Now I have to remember to max size the site every time so I don't have to scroll at the bottom to see a whole post or all the features

If I may add a little constructive criticism: The new quote feature is pretty annoying... it makes every post so damn big.

I changed the quote limit to 3 per post, let me know if that is more acceptable.

I'm not sure if this was a change made to make browsing easier on mobile devices, but I liked how links clicked used to open in a new window. It's only a minor inconvenience, having to right-click and "Open in New Window," but is that something that's temporary or is this the way it's gonna be from here on out?
