Good one LI.
My brother said a REALLY funny one on Wednesday night but I don't know if I should say it...
I'll just give you the basics:
Bonk's PPG goal on Wed.
Sister-in-law
Marty cheating a little on the play.

"They are the loudest and most loyal students in the country. They call this place Happy Valley?
That's an understatement tonight. This is definitely the best place on Earth. I have seen Paternoville,
I have seen these students...there is nothing like this in the country."

"We cannot rank Penn State University against other schools
in the party school category because we feel it is unfair to
rank professionals against amateurs."

cow... cow... cow... 20,000 hot chicks!
That's Penn State."

cuz sometimes you just feel tired
you feel weak
and when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up
but you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength
and just pull that sh!t out of you
and get that motivation to not give up
and not be a quitter no matter how bad you wanna fall flat on your face
COME ON DEVILS ONE MORE GAME!!!!

Talent is perseverence in disguise.
LETS GO DEVILS! ONE MORE WIN!

"He has no ego," says Lou Lamoriello, general manager of the New Jersey Devils. "I don't think he has a selfish bone in his body. It gets infectious with people around him, but that's Joe. Having him here was something very special."

And the simple truth is this -- before and after Joe Nieuwendyk, this franchise has not been as good. Yes the same could be said for others, but Nieuwendyk's effect on his team, on his team's best players, on the fans and in the community can only be compared to, well, what Jarome Iginla is doing now in Calgary. Before the season started, some people thought the Devils wouldn't make the playoffs.
At the trading deadline, MOST people thought the Devils would not make it past round one.
When the playoffs started, some people thought the Devils would be lucky to make it past two rounds.
We're in the Conference Finals, one win away from the Stanley Cup finals.
This team is not full of chokers, not at all.

Devs have been strong at home and average on the road during the playoffs; usually it's the other way around. Time to go back to our roots and come up with some more road magic
The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

Back in June of 2000, I forsook my large-screen TV, opting for the 13" Panasonic in my quiet fly-tying room and I wept (like Peluso in '95) after Arnott buried the Cup-winner. Tonight, it'll be the small Panasonic again and win or lose, I'll probably end up a slight bit mist-eyed.
I am proud to be a Devil's fan!
