Good one LI.

My brother said a REALLY funny one on Wednesday night but I don't know if I should say it...
I'll just give you the basics:
Bonk's PPG goal on Wed.
Sister-in-law
Marty cheating a little on the play.

Some good motivational lines by Eminem

cuz sometimes you just feel tired

you feel weak

and when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up

but you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength

and just pull that sh!t out of you

and get that motivation to not give up

and not be a quitter no matter how bad you wanna fall flat on your face

COME ON DEVILS ONE MORE GAME!!!!

Barry Melrose said last night that the Devils will lose the series. Less than a week ago, he said the Senators have no chance of coming back in the series.

BARRY MELROSE HAS BEEN WRONG ON EVERY PREDICTION THIS POST-SEASON!

I don't just believe, I KNOW THE DEVILS WILL WIN THIS GAME TONIGHT!

I spent the past two days being miserable about this team.

And I'm done with it.

I believe, and I have faith.

Let's go Devils!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a sig of a Rag fan on MSG boards, but it is so true and befitting the Devils and in particular Elias, who I hope comes up big tonight:

Talent is perseverence in disguise.

LETS GO DEVILS! ONE MORE WIN!

Winner of the 2004 Lady Byng Award and the 2003 and 2004 Joe Nieuwendyk award.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"He has no ego," says Lou Lamoriello, general manager of the New Jersey Devils. "I don't think he has a selfish bone in his body. It gets infectious with people around him, but that's Joe. Having him here was something very special."
------------------------------------------------------------------------
And the simple truth is this -- before and after Joe Nieuwendyk, this franchise has not been as good. Yes the same could be said for others, but Nieuwendyk's effect on his team, on his team's best players, on the fans and in the community can only be compared to, well, what Jarome Iginla is doing now in Calgary. Agreed, there's no choke here.. if the Devils get beat tonight, it will be because Ottawa was the better team, not because the Devils choked.

I'll third that. The word choke simply does not apply to this series, for either team.

The Devils are not chokers.

Before the season started, some people thought the Devils wouldn't make the playoffs.

At the trading deadline, MOST people thought the Devils would not make it past round one.

When the playoffs started, some people thought the Devils would be lucky to make it past two rounds.

We're in the Conference Finals, one win away from the Stanley Cup finals.

This team is not full of chokers, not at all.

I'm proud of all you guys and gals that are true believers. I feared the worst here these two days on the board after Game 6 (i.e. negative posts and thoughts galore); hell I was down in the dumps myself and I try to be among the more optomistic fans here, but we've banded together and with only a few exceptions are pulling together and perking each other up. :)

Devs have been strong at home and average on the road during the playoffs; usually it's the other way around. Time to go back to our roots and come up with some more road magic

"The Devils have high standards, that's the difference. We have a standard to live up to every year, and a couple of teams in our area don't have the standards we do." - Pat Burns

The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

I have to admit I was pretty hard on Patty the other night after the game. I thought he played horible. But hey today is a new day. And I cant help but remember another HUGE game 7 a few yrs ago. ONe in Philly. Who scored the game winner as time was winding down??? Patty!!

Devs 3 Sens 1 Elias with the game winner and we also get an empty Netter!!!

I have lived and died (especially in '01) with this organization for the past nine years and nothing that they do or don't do tonight will affect the passion I possess for the New Jersey Devils!

Back in June of 2000, I forsook my large-screen TV, opting for the 13" Panasonic in my quiet fly-tying room and I wept (like Peluso in '95) after Arnott buried the Cup-winner. Tonight, it'll be the small Panasonic again and win or lose, I'll probably end up a slight bit mist-eyed.

I am proud to be a Devil's fan!
