Game Seven: Devils at Senators

What I'm even more pissed about is Gomez getting LEVVVVVVVVVVVVELED from behind after he shot it and went right into the post.
But since the Sens did it, no call of course.
I think the Devs outplayed the Sens in that period. They were cycling and working behind the Sens cage very well.
Did that goal deflect off of White's stick by any chance?

That's an understatement tonight. This is definitely the best place on Earth. I have seen Paternoville,
I have seen these students...there is nothing like this in the country."

- If Niewy doesn't come back, he should not have played. Noe the Devs are down a fwd.
- Brodeur needs to be better. He playes well, but, he has come up short against Richter, Roy, and even Hedberg in Games 7 before. After one period tonite, Lalime has simply been better.
- Next goal is huge. If Devs fall two behind, it's all over.

We gotta push hard now cuz we know we need 2 at least.
If you had faith up to this point- then you gotta keep it going after seeing the 1st period.

First intermission....looks like we are looking for the right line combos. Gomer HAS to bury those opps. Sens are holding and obstucting all over the ice; we should really do the same if the refs aren't calling it. Overall not a good period for us. The announcers are full on the Sens bandwagon...they make it sould like Hossa owns Stevens.....how many goals does he have in the series???
Stevens has the best shot for the point on our team...he is the best Devils out there right now....great HIT!! ......we need some players to follow suit.
Great opps in that period....we need to start capitalizing.
NEVER GIVE UP.......NEVER LOSE FAITH!!
GO DEVILS!!!

Well I listened to the Devil announcers on the radio at first, but I'm not a big fan of them and the Devs never do well anyway when I listen to the radio guys (though I only do it like one or two times a year if that)...sure enough Marty blows chunks on the Arvedson goal, then I put the radio away. But I can't bear to turn the volume back up so I watch the entire rest of the first period on total mute. Not one soundThanks for the push, NJDF. Still think they can come back quick but that period sure flew by. ESPN homers are making me sick...
I am gonna try to listen to NHL Radio online for the second period, I don't want to do the mute thing as a regular practice...haha
The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

"The Stanley Cup has fallen from the Stars. The new millennium has its first Stanley Cup Champion, and it's the New Jersey Devils." Mike Miller calling the Devils winning the Stanley Cup.
"It goes to the captain and then there are handoffs during a skate around the ice" Mike Emrick as Scott Stevens is being presented the Stanley Cup.

I don't care about Lalime, he is still beatable.
Nice to see Devils forwards in the offensive zone when the Senators have the puck. It had been a while.
