"I think I just figured out why Lemaire's been keeping Patty away from center.

Devils’ faceoff percentage leaders (minimum 100 draws):
Niedermayer: 211-191—52.5%
Zajac: 320-319—50.1%
Zubrus: 120-124—49.2%
Pelley: 61-66—48.0%
McAmmond: 86-100—46.2%
Elias: 67-107—38.5%

Not good, Patty. Not good anyone really. I expect better from Zajac AND Zubrus.

He isn't even playing center anymore and he can't stay on the ice very long or skate very hard, for awhile now.

Your unconditional rejection of violence makes you smugly think of yourselves as noble, as enlightened, but in reality it is nothing less than abject moral capitulation to evil. Unconditional rejection of self-defense, because you think its a supposed surrender to violence, leaves you no resort but begging for mercy or offering appeasement.

That's the title of the thread. Why has Lemaire kept Patty at wing the last two games?

His shifts are definitely staying short. Do you think something is wrong or what?

Ya, seems like he's hurt or has some sort of sickness. Guy can't skate hard at all right now.

Looks like they need some work on faceoffs at the next practice.

We were told he was moving back to the wing over a week ago.

That line would surely miss sharkys speed but I'm all for moving elias back to wing (take a look at his face off numbers this year and for his career).

As for the dismal overall team faceoff percentage - can't we hire Bobby Carpenter back for a few weeks to teach these guys how to win a draw?

Zajac gets thrown out a bajillion times, that doesn't help. seems like Lemaire is losing his patience with him taking FO's, considering Rob Nieds and Parise played C on the PP's.

as for Elias, that's about on the low end of what you'd expect. he's always been a god-awful faceoff guy

Lemaire himself was a great faceoff man. I would think he could give a "pointer" or two.
