Wow I was shocked to see Pando in there and not Elias.

This is bizarre...I understand Pando is the quintessential 3rd-line guy but Colin White? That's bizarre.

No (Scott) Niedermayer, Rob Blake or Zdeno Chara? The Sedin Twins should be there over Ruutu. Shane Doan, Vincent Lecavalier, Ryan Smyth and even Langenbrunner should be picked over some of those 3rd and 4th liners.

I think there were trying to slot guys where they arguably belong.

That's a bizarre team, though I see what they were going for. Best two scoring lines, best checking line, best fourth line, best first-second-third pair D, best starting goalie, best backup goalie. Interesting take on the all-decade team, definitely something different at least.

They obviously did it by best top line guys, best second line guys, best top paring guys ect. Like they were creating an actual team.

Although I don't agree with the selection, I understand and appreciate the way they set up the team as an actual team rather than an "all-star" team.

Langs is the captain, deal with it.

If Doc Emrick, who called yesterday's Bruins-Rangers on NBC, were a national network's lead baseball or football play-by-player, he would be widely known as among the finest in the history of television.

Sorry guys, I don't have a link, I was referencing my hard copy of The Hockey News that came in the mail today.

And yeah, you have to look at this a little differently than you would typically expect. As others have mentioned, they didn't try to pick just the top players, but they built an actual realistic team.

Ty Conklin is the quintessential back-up goalie.
