Responding to them merely plays into their hands and fuels the fire for more disrespect.

A "party" is so much more personal and fun. You get to actually see the players. Whereas a parade you stand around for hours and see them go by for less then a second and its over.
People just don't get the logic that a party is much better.

They are jealous - the only ones I will listen to complaining about the parking lot parades are Devils fans. Hey, if the Flyers won and held their celebration in a parking lot, would their fans be upset?
"This is the only parking lot with the CUP!" - Joe Piscopo (sure he's a joke but he had some choice words)

Taking a self-dig at herself for the shopping reference; not all of us like to shop!Linda Cohn said something on Sportscenter like, "Hey, is there a sale at Nordstroms? OH, it's the Devils parking lot parade."

Thanks Lurker

"When we were struggling at the beginning of the year we were wondering what was wrong and trying to find reasons. At the end of the day, all we had to do was look in the mirror and the answers were right there." -- Sergei Brylin 12/2/2007
