Whoopie Goldberg? WHOOPIE GOLDBERG? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?Here's more on the DVD gleaned from this week's Cool Shots.
Whoopi Goldberg does the commentary. That seems only fitting since she was actually in the stands during the playoffs.
She was having more trouble with Tverdovsky's name than Thorne and Thorner. Of course cracked a joke like "whatever happened to names like Smith."
There were some nice alternate camera shots in the little clip segment, so I'm guessing that we'll get to see those in the finished product.
She also said that she loves the whole team, but did admit to fondnesses for Scotts Gomez and Stevens.
I didn't think anything could dampen my spirits after the Devs won the Cup, but this is ludicrous. Oh well, I guess I'll be watching the DVD on mute.

I don't really care who does the voice over so long as they don't butcher it. It's actually a nice touch that she's doing it, but we'll have to see how it sounds.

Ah, I guess Whoopie ain't so bad. I thought Kiefer Sutherland did a good job with The Season but the commentary was depressing & rightfully so. He's probably a Wings fan even though he wouldn't admit it to the ABC reporter in his lap during game 7.

Usually they have the voice guy of Cool Shots who does it. Not the actual host but the guy who does the already taped segements and does "NHL Cool Shots is brought to you by... The same guy who did the tape in 2000.
