David Clarkson has been one of the most noticeable forces out on the ice for the New Jersey Devils. Being away from the game for almost three months was hard on the young forward.

"I think it's starting to come around that you miss three months playing hockey," he said. "It's not fun. It's the most mental toughness you ever have to go through as a competitor. Some of us have never been hurt before. That was the first thing I went through. But I think I'm starting to put it behind me.

The wind blew ferociously making the icy sky feel even colder. And then a few white snow flakes floated down from heaven creating a winter wonderland.
