So, who do you guys like? I'll be pulling hard for my Dukies (no I'm not a front runner, both of my parents graduated from Duke)...

I'm rocking chalk, Jay Hawk, KU for my prediction though.

Oklahoma, Memphis, Pittsburgh, Gonzaga, and Georgetown are my favorite teams.

I still remember watching Blake Griffin last year. He is a beast. To bad he isn't playing this year.

My heart says Wake Forest, my head says Kentucky all the way, unfortunately. Though if Wake were to beat Kentucky to make the Sweet Sixteen, I'd be ecstatic.

The boldened games are my case against Kentucky. Yeah, some people can view this as "ability to win in the clutch", but I see it as a team letting too many *bad* teams stick around with them. They're great, no doubt, but based on their track record.. whether it was because of mental lapses or a lack of team cohesiveness, they have had some games to raise red flags. I have them in my final 4, but that's it.

You can't bring up early season games, in my opinion. Yes, they should have blown Miami and Sam Houston State out of the water. But the core of their team (Wall, Cousins) are freshmen. Those were some of their first collegiate games, so I think they can get a little slack there. Now, Wall is a top 5 player in the nation, and if Cousins isn't, he's damn near close. Yes, they barely beat UConn and UNC, both of whom had terrible seasons by their standards, but at the time, both were ranked and still considered dangerous teams. Tennessee is a damn good tournament team, so there's no problem losing to them, its damn near impossible to go undefeated. The South Carolina loss is inexcusable, but that is the last thing on UK's collective mind.

And I don't buy into the "freshmen don't win championships" theory. Damn good players do, and that's what UK has in Wall and Cousins.

I'm going by what I'm watching; that time and time again this "elite" team has let teams like North Carolina (who, all told, wasn't a contender for more than 2 weeks). But to get 6 wins, you need alot more than "the most talented team". Look at Duke in 2006 (and duke in 1997 for that matter). The 06 team had BY FAR the most talent, incredible leadership from All-American's JJ Redick and Sheldon Williams, awesome supporting players like Sean Dockery, Lee Melchioni, and amazing freshman in McRoberts and Paulus. But they had a problem, all year, of letting mediocre teams "back in" to games. I don't think this UK team is a fraud, but I don't see them as a powerhouse.

Guess we'll have to agree to disagree here, MB.

And Arkansas-Pine Bluff beat Winthrop in the "Who's Gonna Get Raped by Duke" game.

Love the clip of UVMs upset win over Syracuse in the 1st Round from 2005 that they've been playing on the FAN. Unfortunately UVM isn't as good as that 05 team and Cuse is a whole lot better.

I took Kentucky, they may not be as good as Kansas, but they have an easier road and are being written off by too many people.

They have the most top flight talent of any team in their starters. They should be getting more respect.

Kansas, Syracuse, Duke and West Virginia. Kansas is the best team. I took them all the way beating Wva 68-61. Duke has a winnable bracket with only Baylor a real threat. Some took Nova but I can't see it. They're mostly guard oriented and might get beat up inside. Syracuse might depend on Onuaku. There are a couple of tricky opponents there in Gonzaga and Vanderbilt. I like Wva's toughness. They're very athletic and have an impact player in Da'Sean Butler. Play superb D, rebound well and have good coach. Only question is depth. Kentucky is very talented but young. Texas could give them problems in Rd.2. The Jayhawks are loaded inside and out with Cole Haldrich and Sherron Collins. Plus Xavier Henry and Morris and Self knows how to coach. Championship experience plus lots of depth should pay off.

NIT tonight at Memphis. Let's Go Redmen!

Holy sh!t! What a fantastic start to March Madness! Old Dominion upsets Notre Dame, BYU and Florida are in double OT, and Robert Morris and Nova are going into OT. LOVE March Madness.

What a ridiculous year this has been. I really wish Syracuse were still in it but I can't complain about Sweet 16 two years in a row. I thought they had a legitimate shot but I suppose this was Butler's year. Well I'm pulling for Butler to win it all so I can say Syracuse was #2 in the country...

I wonder, would a bracket that picked all upsets out of the second round do better than one that was all seed victories? What a crazy year...

My bracket was doing great until this weekend. My Final Four was the only perfect one left amongst the 30 or so people in the bracket group I'm in.

Then Ohio State lost.

Then Kansas State lost.

Then Kentucky lost.

And now Duke may lose. Fvck.

Anywho...I'm happy with Wake, to a degree. Great game against Texas, and losing to Kentucky is respectable, but I really wish they could've lost by... like, less than 30.

Nothing really against Duke, but if they lose I somehow win my bracket. Considering I only got 7/16 Sweet 16 guys right and I don't have the National Champ, this will be a retarded coup.

People are making this game like it's "The Evil Empire" vs. Cinderella. If that's true, hopefully this story ends with Luke joining the Dark Side; leaving Solo, Leia, Chewbacca, and the cute little Ewoks dead while the Endor Moon is blown up, Lando Calrissian a puff of vapor in space as the Millenium Falcon is destroyed, and the wierd squid looking guys are all dead as the Rebel Fleet is annihilated.

Duke and Butler agreed to a rematch this fall . . . at the Izod Center. I thought we were done with that place now that even the Nets consider it inferior.

I guess you can't blame Duke for wanting to play there, though. They're a ridiculous 18-1 in that building.
