In seriousness though, I know there's some talented musicians here, hopefully whoever wins are true fans. I know during the fan fests in October (probably opening night), the singer of the band was a Rangers fan and tried to start a Rangers chant from the stage.

My Band from years ago. Maybe we'll have a reunion show. Maybe if the band was based off hockey and the music we play is likable to most people.

Once I saw Freehold/Howell I knew it would be cheesecore, and I was right.

No I like that music to. But it's literally the type where you've heard one you've heard them all. There is absolutely nothing different and no reason to listen to a band like that. I hate bands that have a breakdown (that doesn't even belong) in the song just so the crowd likes you and is able to sucker punch someone on the pitwall. That scene is pretty dead now in northern jersey. Too many fights caused too many clubs to close. Then there were just snowball effects. No one would go to shows because they didn't want to get jumped. So only groups of friends would go. But then they wouldn't start fights because they didn't out number anyone anymore. Then the groups stopped going since they couldn't fight anymore. I call it cheesecore because that's exactly what it is. Cheesy breakdowns with no real musicianship. I would much rather listen to a solo than a few open notes in different signatures. Also, it is nowhere near what hardcore is. I don't know who decided to name a music style the same name of a music style that already exists. Hatebreed is probably to blame. But their first album was more thrash than anything else. How can something be called 'core' that is a sub-genre of something? I have no clue.

this is an ongoing joke between my brothers and i with that awful coverband that used to play in front of the CAA before playoff games. they'd lead of with sublime's "what i got".

Ok cause i totally agree with you. Like i said it was obv. a joke but i can say it was fun. and yeah the whole hardcore scene in nj and every where died along time ago. I havent been to a show in years cause it started getting so bad with fight and security. o well sure i havent missed anything. No I like that music to. Anything's gotta be better than the U2 cover band from last year.
Beat me to it, lol

Lol, love that clip. A podcast that I used to listen(and sorta still do), used the audio from that video often. Bring back good memories, if you can believe it, lol.
