3 goals on 130+ shots in three games. That's impressive.

This is what happens when you have a bigtime goaltender. Martin Brodeur would never be capable of doing something like that. Standing on his head time and time again to shut down a bigtime offense. Why need to start searching for a clutch goaltender and soon.

Wow...thats all I have to say is wow. That was some 3 game show he put on.
3 goals on 130+ shots in three games. That's impressive.
Well anyone that watched him during the Olympics knows that he is capable of stepping his game up in high pressure situations, but that was insane. I don't think I can think of 1 player having so much influence in a series as we witnessed in this one. Congrats to him, I'm on the hab bandwagon for the time being.

You don't turn this around in a couple shifts. Its going to take a little time, but I know the guys will come back. Because I can see it. -- Jacques Lemaire

For the Devils we'd be better off grabbing Hal Gill or Andrei Markov. If I'm getting too greedy, make it Josh Gorges or Ryan O'Byrne.Well for some reason, the Habs try again and again to make Price the starter... so maybe on their next go around, we can grab Halak.
Try 41 but Halak was terrific.it helps to have 30 something blocks from your defenseman too, just saying.

I'd take Markov or Georges any day.

This makes Carey Price a much more attainable player also, would anyone else love to see him come here? I would
I think Carey Price has great potential and just got crushed by the Montreal fans and media. They don't let young players grow up there. I'd love to see him here.

Considering MTL's style of play (especially defensively) being just like the old Devils' style with the subsitution of blocked shots for physical presence, I'd have to agree with this. And some of you wanted to play Montreal! HA! Halak wouldve shut us out 4 games straight!

If the Devils would have played with half the heart the Hbs did we would have swept Filthydelphia.

+1 Gill was one of their MVP's last night. He blocked 6 shots, kept with the WSH forwards and gave his all. Gio was solid and Gomer had a great game, he moved up and down the ice nicely, setup dangerous plays and had a beautiful assist.Halak played great but the entire team played like a fine tuned machine. I lost count of how many blocked shots they had.....almost 40. Hate to say it but Gomer and Gio played very well. Was never much of a Gill fan until last night.
If the Devils would have played with half the heart the Hbs did we would have swept Filthydelphia.

How exactly does that help when calculating exactly what Halak did? So if the 41 shots weren't blocked he would've had to block 170+ shots? Sure anything could've happened but I think the sample size of blocking 130+ shots while allowing 3 says a lot about how much he has had to stand on his head.
The problem with Marty, as his prime has passed, is he can stand on his head and block 40+ shots but when he lets in the 1 it usually leads to another and then another and we call it a bad game or an off night. Now the problem with the Devils in that scenario is the fact that we aren't consistent on offense. Especially when it comes to taking advantage of the power play.
That being said if Marty played superhuman every game and we win no one says anything...
if the Devils offense consistently explodes for 5 goals a game and we win no one says anything...
if the Devils defense is stout every game and blocks everything going towards Marty and we win no one says anything...

He's giving Ryan Miller a run for his money for best year by a goalie when you include the Olympics. I don't fault Miller for Buffalo's exit, but if Habs can shock Pittsburgh, it's Halak's season.
I do partly..
But of course, nobody can criticize the delicate genius known as Miller
