Not that it's any of your business, but I was posting that from the free time I had during my Architectural Studies class at the University of Miami. It's easy though, you'll just join the list of pointless new kids who act like they are hot sh!t on my ignore list.

So now the Devils 'have' submitted a contract that supposedly meets the NHL's concerns - but we're going through the five-day sniff test again just to be sure...I wouldn't be shocked if we don't hear anything till next Friday whether they accept or reject again

in fairness to the league, iirc it took them only one day to officially reject the contract. there's really little benefit for them in stringing out a rejection.

If league officials read njdevs and hfboards then there is absolutely a benefit to stringing out an acceptance.

If Buttman hates us like everyone believes I do not think he can live down rejecting another offer after saying they were working so closely with the Devils, and tuning down every offer I would not blame Kovy at all if he just flips the bird to the NHL (Bettman) and plays in the KHL

NHL has five days under CBA to review -- approve or reject.

Both ESPN and Yahoo! are reporting that the NHL has approved the framework of the latest contract proposal by the New Jersey Devils allowing the team to complete the signing of the Russian sniper.

While the contract has yet to be signed, it appears as though the path has been cleared to allow the two-time 50 goal scorer to rejoin the Devils. However, the NHL has told TSN that as of 3 pm et, no deal had been approved.

Terms of the deal have yet to be released but it is believed that the Devils have addressed the league's objections to the length of the contract and the enormous salary drop-off over the final years of the contract. Due to the enormous amount of details that still need to be worked out, it remains possible that the official announcement will not be made until Saturday.
