if the devils don't pay the fine will the contract be voided?
Not really thread worthy because the Devils will undoubtedly pay the fine.. That being said, I'm sure not paying it would result in a team suspension not an individual player suspension

If they don't pay the fine, their cap hit will be reduced by 3M. (I guess)

of all mascots far and wide.IT IS VERY HARD TO WIN ONE STANLEY CUP, FORGET ABOUT THREE... and maybe it's high time some of you actually APPRECIATED THAT instead of treating it like it's some flipping birthright because for some random reason you rooted for the damn Devils!!!!!

Not really because there is no way in hell this team doesn't pay the fine.. I don't even understand how it can be a consideration.. What if the team says f*** the cap let's sign whoever we want to whatever deal? We can speculate anything

Well.... this certainly isn't stupid. maybe after they violate Kovalchuk's contract, they can bring back Lemaire AND get sued for $100M.

Perhaps. But that wasn't how it was ruled. It's not going to happen anyway.
