Hell be fine, he just needs a nice ice bath/massage and a few days rest. When the teams back in NJ hell be back ready to rock.

Not to worried. Devils are an injury prone team as it is. I, as I am sure many of you on here, over the years have come to terms with this and just kinda go "Ah that sucks." shrug the shoulders and give it a few days.

He's going to see a specialist. Something tells me this is a bit more serious than an ice bath / massage.

It's zach though, he's not going to not-play (double-negative ftw) if he can. I feel like he'd play with a broken foot if he could somehow get a skate on it. Sheer determination.

I have a feeling he may have a partially torn ligament. If that is the case he may rehab it or get surgery out of the way.

How does this affect the dynamics of the team? I think Tedenby will almost certainly be called up. This season may end up being a loss but the experience the rooks will get will make us a threat next year.

It's a nice thought, but I feel like this team isn't necessarily lacking in the "talent and experience" department or even basic hockey skill. Between all the competent players we have (except for healthy defenders which doesn't explain scoring issues) I think our problem must be mental or schematic or chemical or spiritual or superstitious or I dunno what


By which I mean, since I started rambling, that even if our rookies were veterans in their prime they might not be able to push us over whatever this hump is, this year or next or more

The experience is invaluable. I know he isn't ready but they may be next year.

i'm gonna guess a pulled groin muscle. a knee injury would prevent him to play from pain, groin he can feel good enough to play but would get worse throughout the game, which he seems to do. and he didn't have the zip he usually had last year, so that's my guess.

Having dealt with knee issues for a long time, I can tell you he could play with a knee injury as there are different levels of pain associated with different knee injuys. The fact that he wasn't weight bearing, or minimally weight bearing on one leg suggests a knee injury, hopefully it is just a strain, but if there is any sort of tear, even partial, he may be out a long time.

Well we played without Marty for 3 or 4 months. IF parise is out for a few weeks or months we should still be able to play better and make the playoffs.

This teams troubles are bigger than just finger pointing to a few players.....

Lets hope Parise trying to play with this injury didn't further the injury causing longer recovery time.

lower body injury could either be knee or groin.

I believe Lou initially had White's eye injury as a lower body injury too
