I hope the hof committee is at least embarrassed.

I think we should dunk them all in the Montreal river in the middle of January...
Stationed in Section 114, along with my friend who became a STH for 10-11. My sister got 1/2 season tickets after Kovy signed! Now she can enjoy that Kovy jersey often. woohoo!

Even as a longtime Sabres fan and watching Burns go up against the Sabres for many years as the 'enemy', it is impossible not to admire and respect what Burns was as a coach and the way he handled himself after his coaching career.
He was upfront, honest, and a winner.
I wish his day for the HOF would have come this past season when he would have been able to be a part of it, but he will someday and deserves it.
I absolutely love these comments by Burns:
"I probably won't see the project to the end, but let's hope I'm looking down on it and see a young Wayne Gretzky or Mario Lemieux" skating on the rink, he said at a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
"I know my life is nearing its end and I accept that.
"As for my career, I always said to my kids, 'you don't cry because it's over, you're happy because it happened.' That's the main thing. I'm happy it happened."
It is a lesson to us all: Live each day to the fullest. Be positive, no matter what the circumstances are.
The NHL would be a much better place with more guys like Pat Burns around.

I'm sad but at the same time relieved that he doesnt have to suffer from that terrible disease anymore.

This is such sad news. We all knew the day would come but Pat was such a fighter and he kinda made you feel like he could beat anything. It's amazing that he battled for over six and a half years with this horrible disease. It kind of puts all the recent negativity surrounding this team in perspective. Today was truly a loss.

they should raise a simple banner with his name embroidered to hang under the '03 cup
if the hall of fame will not honor him, even though he's beyond qualified, we damn sure should
i'm interested to see how dano reacts tomorrow when they talk about it, he did play him in game game 7 afterall.
