Tell me someone else saw the look Stephen Gionta gave to who I can only assume would be Brian Gionta as he skated by their bench after he went offsides.

This looks like an appropriate time to trade with the Leafs since both of our seasons are going off track. I already put forth my trade proposal.

This is EXACTLY the game this team needed a bone-crushing defeat to take away any of the smoke and mirrors from last week.
This team has a gaping wound and his name is JMAC.

I'm finding it harder every game to disagree with this conclusion

Gaborik stepped up tonight like a real star player while Kovaljoke continues to sh!t the bed.

What a clown effort from a bunch of clowns. Can't wait for the excuses!

Is it fair to say the Jack Adams award won't be going to New Jersey this year.

I say trade for picks and prospects if anything. Try and clear up enough money to sign Zach in the offseason and maybe a top center, a couple of d men, a young goalie, and a RW.

No need to take back any sizable contracts.

Mac's time is up. I'm not even an advocate of him being fired because there must be some player movement as well but it's just time. Making a run to the playoffs this year will be a long shot at best but Lou can't continue to let this get more toxic. There is a lot of hockey left and this team is just playing ugly way too often. Tickets are not cheap and for those that are paying good money, well they deserve better then this. There have been way too many games that haven't even been competitive. The horrible defense on the first two goals and that 5 on 3 power play basically summed up the Devils season.

I really don't know about Mac's alleged comments about the fans but if he indeed get caught saying that.....wow. Not good at all. And imo he sh!t the bed big time by pulling Hedberg tonight. The team was just flat out awful in front of him to start this game. Perhaps a timeout to settle them down? I know it was early but Hedberg got a raw deal out there if you ask me.

"The $297,297 Kovalchuk missed today is money he will never, ever get back. And the more cheques he misses, the better the deal is going to have to be for the players to justify him sitting out. And unlike the owners, the players can direct their leadership to get a deal done regardless of how disadvantageous it is to them."

I'd say one for one trade for Komisarek. His past few seasons have been pretty mediocre.
