I was one of the biggest "fire lemaire" people in the world, but I doubt very much it can get worse than Mac.Why not just make Adam Oates coach, this season is already over, why go back to something that already didn't work?(Lemaire) It's bad enough that we already the laughing stock of the league, this would only make it worse.
I really hope Lemaire isn't back.

How much worse can it get with Jacques?
That being said I didn't like the decision to bring him back last year and I still don't like it. I was hoping for someone to take the team in a different direction instead of same old same old,

I'd buy this if it were a quitting, but if this is a firing, this is either a bitchfest from the players or a bitchfest from the owner to make some kind of change. And since no one is taking our refuse on the waiver or trade block...Johnny Mac is the man to go.
I'm not so sure Lemaire's going to save this season either, this team is still last in the league in goals, atrociously irresponsible defensively, and not getting any healthier. If they make it back to respectability, I blame Crasher, since he's the fan of both teams who quit on their coaches to get them fired.

That would probably be best for him anyways.
Disagree he has shown no signs to me that he cant play a full year in the NHL.
I would have said the same before the season started, but he has been fantastic. A small bright spot during this abortion of a season!

35-10 doesnt sound so out of reach now.
The Devils were 30-8-2 under Lemaire before the Christmas meltdown.

I was on the fire Lemaire bandwagon last year too. I hated his complaicent attitude after losses, but at this point anything is better than Mac.
-Putting that bread and butter all over the toast.

What is most sad is, I suspect we will see this team win some games, and we will end the season left with the feeling of what could have been....

lemaire's a fine hire. he should at the very least fix the defense, and he doesn't cost anything. he was only signed to a 2 year deal, so he goes away at the end of the year. langenbrunner and his cadre of fanatics are out this year anyway.

I guess it can't get much worse. Unless we do well, but not good enough to make the playoffs and then miss out on a good pick next year and just stay mediocre.
