The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

If so, that's not a terrible return for a goalie who is over 40 and a rental.
Intrigues me what we might be able to get for Langs/Arnott.

What happens when DiPietro gets injured again?
You don't put him on the injured reserve, keep his money against the cap hit and it will work out well for them.
The Islanders should be fine with staying to the cap, Yashin's penalty is 4.755 in addition to bonuses and they make it.

Looks like rolston is heading to the Island in order to hit the cap floor...
They're at 45.6 million, floor is at 43.4.

This. They're at 45.6 million, floor is at 43.4.
Or, according to Hockeybuzz, they're at 47.53. Either way, they're good. Who would've thought Yashin's buyout would help them financially. Dead weight under your salary cap is a pain in the ass for richer teams.
BTW, isn't it ironic how the current salary floor is higher than the original salary cap (39 milion cap in 2005/2006... seems ridiculous just 6 years from then).

They're at 45.6 million, floor is at 43.4.
Their base salary is $40.6...$5 million of that $45.6 is bonuses, which they may or may not hit, in most cases probably not. Okposo's got $850k in bonuses and I don't think he's hitting them

DiPietro just got hurt lol
You beat me to it. Haha
Edit: Why don't the Islanders just try to cut their losses with this guy? Way too injury prone to be counted on as a number one goalie. Is there any way the Islanders can dump his outrageous contract?

Uhm, no.
Well, they could buy him out but they'd be having a cap hit of 1.5 million until 2031.
