I have the suspects narrowed down to Manta and Lucifer's Dog. More to follow.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... Attack ships on fire off the shoulder
of Orion. I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate.
All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in the rain.

Yup. And if someone gets out of hand with it, just ask them to tone it down or tell security. I just have alot of sympathy for Devils fans who pay to watch this team without screaming bloody murder. Its rough watching Brian Rolston and having to be civil lol

Its a sporting event, these things will occur sometimes. Its not ideal, but lets not act surprised or completely disgusted by someone cursing at the team. We all curse at the team on this board for the most part. So someone paid to do it at the game. Good for him. Its good our fans care and have passion. However, if the cursing gets out of hand then say something to him or tell security.

Speaking for the minors, down here they really promote the family friendly bit; this guy would’ve been tossed out.

I have no problem getting on our players if they screw up; I’m quicker to shout encouragement if they do well. And when we scored a hat trick recently and an opposing player picked up the hats, spit on them, and tossed them back into the stands, he heard about it. Since the place is empty and the PA dude is slow on the trigger to turn the music on, there’s a definite window of opportunity to make oneself very much heard throughout the entire arena.

But ‘you suck’ is about as vile as it gets.

"Martyisth3b3st"- ROTFL at that username.
The annoying guy paid for his ticket and should be able to say whatever he wants. You people are so ready to give away our first amendment rights that it sickens me. You probably voted for Obama.
Besides, only 6 or 7 guys on the team deserve our cheers, and they are mostly 4th liners or forward call-ups.

I've been a member here for a couple years. Yeah he isn't having the best season right now, but he's still one of the best goaltenders in the history of the sport.

"Taking away their first amendment right?"... and people said I went overboard. Zoikes, scoob.

I'm republican.

When you hiss and boo the team before they even take the ice, you aren't a 'fan'.

2 or 3 screaming sh!tfits during the game wouldn't bother me. He did it every play, the entire first two periods before I moved. Literally, everything. Clarkson's fight, he was screaming "KILL DAVID. KILL HIM. MURDER HIM. PUNCH HIM HARDER!". Everything anyone did that didn't result in a goal, he stood up and screamed about. The only time he didn't stand up and scream was when Ilya scored: he sat down and screamed "WE SUCK" after each of the "Hey!'s"

I have said in the past that there is a fine line between being obnoxious and just down right belligerent. There are kids there that dont need to hear the F word every other syllable. I was at a game last season against Tampa and St.Louis was warming up against the glass working the puck and 2 idiots that were, Ill give them the benefit of the doubt, 21. They were literally up on the boards on the glass yelling, taunting and cursing at St.Louis and he turned around and started yelling at the two guys pointing to the little kids surrounding them. A security guard got there and escorted them out of the section.

Yeah, its professional sports. If you dont want your kids hearing words or seeing things then you shouldnt bring them but on the other hand, that doesnt give you the right to be a complete jackass in the stands.

Everyone around you doest appreciate it and I wouldnt think the players do either. If you wouldnt say it in front of your mom or grandma then you shouldnt be screaming it at the top of your lungs surrounded by strangers IMO.

And damn it dont boo your own team! That pisses me off! Its fine to show discomfort but to boo every time a specific player on the team YOU are there to cheer on touches the puck, or in the above example, wish harm on a player.......just dont do it.

Yikes, yeah that’s harsh. I always cheer my team when they take the ice before the game. I’ve yelled at guys by name when they barf the puck up and it directly leads to a goal. But I save the constant harassment for the other team ;)

It stinks when you’re getting on a guy on the other team and he gets the GWG, but oh well…

Wow! Moronic post of the year candidate. The first amendment only guarantees free speech not getting curbed by the government. It doesn't extend to non-government entitities. And BTW I voted for Obama.

You're right, I'm spending my time in January vying for a fictional award on an internet message board. :thumbsup1:

Also FYI, your 9 paragraph responses that are usually completely irrelevant to the topic at hand don't ever add anything to the discussion, my fair old lady.

Although Martyis and I don't see eye to eye I'm pretty sure the argument can be made that the fat guy(what have you got against fat guys?) violated his little brother's civil rights with his behavior.

I don't have anything against fat guys. If he was super skinny I'd hate him just as much. And I'm not trying to start a civil suit, I just wanted to vent about the moron.

Kinda interested in how being an assclown is violating someone's civil rights? and why is he violating his little brother specifically and not everyone around him civil rights?

Just want to see your logic here.

well Cool then -- it's one of those days here I guess.
