Think of this, we have beat the top three teams in the east the past week and half (tampa bay two times)

I honestly believe the Devils are going to make one of those runs here after the AS break that will get them real close to making the playoffs. You just never know and they just have to take the rest of this season one game at a time and not look ahead on the schedule.

After February 1st 2010, Philadelphia went 13-12-4 to end the season. That would get us nowhere near the playoffs.
Granted, we have more games left than that (no Olympics) but at that pace, we would not even be close. The idea that Philly went on some magical run to make the playoffs is just not true. They were mediocre to end the year and barely made in by one shootout win.
