Didn't get to watch this game at all, unfortunately. On a scale of 1 to 10, how badly were we outplayed?
1 being not at all and 10 being smashed, we were a 2 or 3 at best. The Devils played a strong game tonight. They are a team now. They all know they can do it and have the potential to get to where they need to be. Its nice to see again.

They were interviewing Kovy after the game and he was trying to say something and they interupted him cutting him off mid sentence and he stuttered realizing this and they went to commercial. Hope this doesnt ruin his new found confidence.
noticed this, felt bad for him. He was very stoic in interviews (and in action) when he first got here but he seems to be warming since he got all that money
on that note i did see rolston point when he skated out and wondered if he was addressing the supporters. stoked that he was

Love that Rolston point at us The Supporters when he came out for his star. That was an incredible win!! Great to the Rock packed tonight as well!!! I got my tix for Weds night!!
Kovy is a beast!! We came out way too flat though need a better effort against the Canes.
Rolston does that every game that he comes out as one of the three stars. He must have family & friends in that section. It had nothing to do with the suporters.

liked his shout out to the crowd

Ithink rolston was pointing to his family. thats why he winks a lot. Its his second phase of happy, one being smiling too much when he screws up and three when he is all happy for scoring. I know he has a kid that plays locally in northern NJ cause i was at the Kids Hockey night last year. I was stuck with my girlfreind and her father with kids kicking my seat and never shutting up. One kept going "look at St, Loius, he never sits down at the bench" nad i found myself keep watching his stand there till i said "wait, watc hthe damn game". that was the game the lights went out and i told my girlfreinds dad that if they dont fix it in five minutes , they never will. We ended up staying there till they took the goals away an hour and a half later and then they announced it was over. Next day my dad died. Bad weekend. But on a positive we got refund tickets wehn they beat Toronto by scoring two or three goals with an empty net. Anyhow, happy for Rolston.
sorry, too much celebratory beer. My point was from above that the stupid kids and there dumb moms kept talking about rolstons kid and how he was one of the best in there league. God i couldnt stand those kids.

Btw, Hell is breaking loose in the Pens vs Isles game. lol.
I thought Bruins Canadiens was bad, this was off the freakin' hook. What thef'ing hell? 370+ minutes in penalties? Automatic 10 game suspensions?!?! That's some HATE right there, plain and simple.
Seriously though, there was a dramatic difference watching the Sharks as compared to the Toronto last night - this was a bona fide good team, a top tier team we played tonight. They got great pressure from their forwards throughout and while our defense bent a few times they never really cracked. The Devs played a fine game tonight; definitely one they can be proud of in way you can't get from beating the Sens or Laffs. I hope they enjoy their weekends

11 out. That in itself is a miracle from where this team was just a month ago. Keep it going boys!!!
It's now 12 (Atlanta as of this minute holds the 8 spot with 60 points), but it's no less miraculous. Devils hold a game in hand on them.
The only downer is that the 9-12 seeds all have anywhere from 1 to 3 games each in hand on the Devils. But just the fact that we can even talk about the playoffs without laughing or crying...actually talk about standings...that's more than I ever had any right to expect.
Kovy and Lemaire...whatever page they're on, I want it laminated and framed. It's a hell of a page.
[Mark Messier]: A big, bald attention whore with a stupid Easter Island-lookin face. - from who else? DaneykoIsGod!
Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
Can the coach do that ? Switch the goalies 5 seconds to go in overtime? - Most priceless quote ever posted on a message board.
Martin Brodeur: THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS!, 12 straight seasons of 30+ wins, 3 Stanley Cups, 4 Vezina Trophies, and zero respect from too many so-called Devils "fans" who are either too young or too bandwagon to remember the much darker days of Sean Burke, Craig Billington, Bob Sauve, Alain Chevrier, and the talented but overwhelmed Chico Resch, among many others.
It's easy to support a great player when he's playing at his very best. It takes a true fan to support that same player during those rare moments and stretches when he's not. Babe Ruth went 0-4 some games, and sometimes Wayne Gretzky was held pointless. There may be such a thing as greatness, but no such thing as absolute perfection every single night.

There are still space cadet moments from Kovy but somehow LL has him drinking the Lou-aid and at least trying to adapt and grow. Its amazing that during the streak how different players have gotten hot ect. I am so happy that this team has managed to get me excited to watch then again and believe. It's now 12 (Atlanta as of this minute holds the 8 spot with 60 points), but it's no less miraculous. I think he'll still have them from time to time, but he's clearly becoming much more sound all-around. This wasn't one of his better games, yet he still found a way to get a couple of points, and scored on his one and only shot. I think he's up to 27 points in his last 31 GP...he keeps doing that, continues to improve the other parts of his game, and keeps the brainfarts to a minimum, I'll happily take it.
